He told me a dumb joke. It wasn't even funny but for once I laughed, and I don't even know why.
Somehow he actually makes
me feel like I belong somewhere.
He stared at me as I stared at my phone,"Why don't you eat?"
"I don't feel like it." I answered feeling my cheeks flush red.
"so you just don't feel like eating every day?" He asked.
"Look I know you know I'm clearly overweight, and the answer is I don't eat because if I do I'll gain weight." I say quickly so we can get over the embarrassing subject.
"I think you're beautiful just the way you are, here I brought two sandwiches because I noticed you weren't eating yesterday." he said smiling.
"You don't have to do this." I said pushing the wrapped sandwich away.
"Do what?" he asked ,"You don't have to sit with me at lunch every day and you don't have to be nice to me, why aren't you like everybody else."
"That's because I'm not 'everybody else', now here eat your sandwich so you won't starve to death." he said pushing the sandwich back.
