He took my hand and guided me to a bench facing the small pond that laid across the park.
"I have something to confess." He said shyly which was weird since he was never shy.
"What is it?" I asked trying not to laugh at his quietness but his words took me by surprise.
"I-I like you."...."it's fine if you don't like me back."
"No its not that it's just...I never expected you to like someone like me."
"So do you want to be my girlfriend?" He asked back to his happy-go-lucky self.
"Sure, but if it doesn't work out promise we're going back to being just friends and we'll leave all of the dating stuff behind."
"Promise."
