A dream come true? (Nightmare!sans x Reader)

Chapter 17-Chocolate and an already defeated Enemy!?

~~~Nightmare's POV~~~

I soon as Grillby disappeared I allowed myself to breath a sigh of relief. I could feel sweat coating my skull and wiped it off with my sleeve. 'Gotta keep going.' I thought to myself. "Maybe we should take a small break before we keep going." Her voice said making me look back at Y/N.

"But Alphys will be even madder if we don't continue." Temmie said. Y/N glanced at her and gave a small smile.

"It will be quick, here." She said and dug through her pack. "Aha." She mumbled and pulled out two candy bars. My eyes widened and water started drooling as I eyed the bar of.... something.

"You okay there smiley?" I heard Temmie ask. I just nodded, still eyeing the candy bar. Y/N giggled at my action, causing my face to flare up, and I looked away from it quickly. We soon take a seat on the cave floor, in a circle.

"Have you never had a candy bar Nightmare?" Y/N asks me. I glance back at her from the corner of my eye socket and slowly shake my head 'No'. She giggles cutely and hands a bar to me. "Here." She says and I take it with nervous hands. Once my hands wrap around the foil around the bar I take it back with a little more confidence and stare at the bar.

I look up to see Y/N hand Temmie a bar and get another one for herself. She pinched at the top of the foil, where the edged part was, and tore it in half causing the foil to split and reveal a bar covered in a dark brown substance. I looked at Temmie, who was already eating her bar, and looked back at my own bar. I grabbed the edged part of the foil, like Y/N did, and attempted to do the same, but it didn't work. I huffed in annoyance and tried again, but it still didn't work.

A giggle caused me to look up at Y/N, who was looking at me her hand covering her smiling mouth, I blushed ten-fold. "Do you need help Nightmare?" She asked me.

"Uh, if you please." I said, my blush still bright, and handed her the bar. She took it and opened the foil, allowing the bar of brown to reveal itself. She handed it back to me with a warm smile. "T-Thanks." I stammered and took it. I looked at the bar then up at Y/N, who was watching me intently, then back at the bar. I slowly brought it to my mouth.

I crunched down on the brown bar and my eyesockets widened in wonder as the taste coats my magical tongue. I instantly scarf down the rest of the candy bar, leaving the foil, and look at Y/N, who was barely done with hers. She noticed my stare and smiled. "Good?"

"It was delicious, what is it?" I asked. Y/N opened her mouth to speak, but was interrupted.

"You've seriously have never had chocolate before." Temmie asked. I gave her a slight glare for interrupting Y/N but nodded, then became confused.

"What's chocolate?" I asked. Temmie rolled her eyes as she finished the rest of her chocolate bar.

"It's human food. It might not restore our energy as much as monster food since it's made of matter, not magic, but will satisfy us for the next fight with Alphys." Temmie said, making me frown slightly, and nod in agreement. "Come on, it's best we get going now."

"Yeah." I agreed and looked to Y/N, who just finished her candy bar, she nodded in agreement and put her foil back in her pack. She held a hand out to me and I handed her mine. She put it away and did the same with Temmies. We soon got up and headed out the cave.

As soon we exited the cave I got a bone ready. Temmie, who was Y/N's head looking behind her, had Temmie Flakes out and ready as well. I held a hand out to stop and we stood at the ready for a good 5 minutes, until I deemed it safe, and we continued onward. As we continued onward, it noticed not many monsters around, and if there were any, they completely ignored us or ran away. 'Odd, some would attack even if I had an attack out. What's going on?' I thought to myself as we continued on.

"Hey, what's that?" Y/N asked, pointing to a figure on the ground in front of us.

"What's what?" Temmie asked.

"I don't know. Stay close, it could be a trap." I said and we walked towards the figure. The figure soon became clearer and clearer as we walked up to it. I soon noticed the features of the, surprisingly small, monster. The monster was on it's stomach. I gulped and carefully turned it onto it's back. It seemed to be a female dinosaur based monster. She was wearing a black tore up crop top, black fingerless gloves, and black shorts with two belts around her waist. She had scratch marks on her left eye, but what really caught my attention was the giant circular smokey mark on her stomach. 'Gaster blaster?' I thought.

She groaned, causing me and Y/N to jump. She slowly opened her eyes, making me summon a gaster blaster, and her eyes widened when she noticed me. "I-I'm sorry Papyrus! I-I..." She trailed off when she noticed I didn't attack her. "Human." She growled and slowly, and painfully, got up.

"A-Are you okay?" I heard Y/N ask. The monster gave her a slight glare, before sighing.

"Obviously not, dumbass." She mumbled. "I was going to fight you first, but it seems that someone else wants to kill you personally." She said, continuing to stare at Y/N.

"And who exactly ARE you?" I asked, almost growled, as I looked at the dinosaur. She glared over at me and stared at me with her red and white eyes.

"The names Alphys, now I'm leaving, unless you want to die." She threatened and walked off. Once she was out of sight I sighed in relief, but didn't relax. 'Who was she talking about, and why did she think I was Papyrus?' I thought to myself.

I looked back at Y/N, who was looking at where Alphys walked back to, and sighed. "Come on, not getting any farther standing here." I said making Y/N look at me and nod in agreement. We walked in silence for a bit, until.

"I wish we could have helped her." She mumbled after we had walked for a bit. I just glanced at her then looked forward once more, too busy thinking about what she said.

"She wouldn't have let us."

-Laughs nervously and scratches behind neck nervously- Soooo.... I bet you all want an explanation for why I hadn't updated in SO FUCKING LONG!! Well I went down to Orlando, didn't tell you guys for this story, and came back. I then spent the past weekend trying to get caught up in school then decided to just finish my other story 'Forced Resets'..... Sooo, yeah. I am so sorry, heheh, but I should have some time to update this story more now, which I will. Anyhoo, I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and the story so far!
