Coma (part 6)

Levi's POV

"I'm sorry to say sir, but your sister's in a coma. We don't know when she'll wake up, that is if she ever wakes up. She fell from a high and hit her head extremely hard on the ground. You may go see her if you wish." The doctors said shaking his head lightly and avoiding eye contact.

I walked into the small hospital room and I saw her. She was laid on the hospital bed with her long, once shining black locks, now robbed of their shine and sprawled out across the pillow. She looked so peaceful. Like she was sleeping. I walked up to her and grabbed a stool, sitting next to the bed. I held her hand in both of mine. Her hand was cold and she looked paler than ever. She looked peaceful yet dead. I kept her tiny hand in both of mine in hope she'd warm up a bit.

"I'm sorry Lou. I shouldn't have let you go by yourself. I'm sorry."

Your POV

"I'm sorry." He repeated. I wanted to wake up and tell him I was ok and for him to stop apologising but I couldn't move. I saw light at one side and Levi at the other. I tried walking towards the light when I saw a woman who looked similar to my mother. However on the other side I saw doctors running around. I saw her again. I didn't move closer though. "I'm sorry mum. I can't leave Levi. I love you and although I can't remember you I love you." I smiled and she smiled back and waved back, mouthing the words 'love you too darling. Take care of him.' I smiled and went back to sit on the chair in the centre.

Time skip. Still your POV

I waited for what seemed like minutes. Levi wasn't there one second and back the next. I was so confused. I saw a big flash of light coming from the place where I saw Levi. He just left the room again. He seemed like he was crying.

"Levi!!!" I tried shouting. He turned back and grabbed my hand. Suddenly the lights stopped and everything else is as well. I saw lights and stars rushing past me and then, it stopped...... I felt pain in my head and I groaned. I tried opening my eyes, but was met with a ridiculously bright light. I let my eyes adjust and saw a man dressed in the uniform but with additional gloves and a clip board. "I see we've waken up now miss.Ackerman." He smiled. I was extremely confused though. "What happened?" I asked. I remember someone coming here and taking but I don't remember them. "You were in a coma for about 3 months." He said and my mouth dropped. 3 months. That's a long time. I thought as I let the information sink in. "I'm sorry sir but where am I. I can't remember anything." I said chuckling nervously. He wrote something down on his board. "I see you must've got amnesia. From what I see you don't have the extreme case. You should get your memory back but something has to hit home with you in order for you to remember. I'll call your brother in." I thanked him and he walked away. "Brother huh?" I ask no one in particular, seeing as there was no one in the room.

Levi's POV

I was filling out paperwork when I heard a knock at the door. It was a timid knock. I rubbed my face and called out to the person. "Name and business." I only heard a small chuckle and a timid response. "It's Petra sir." She said 'sweetly'. "Come in." The door opened to reveal Petra with something in her hand. I motioned her to sit down. "So what do you need?" I ask in a tired voice. She muttered something but I couldn't make out what. "Sir it's about your sister." That caught my attention. "What about her?" I asked intrigued. "Well if she doesn't wake up, I was wondering if you'd marry me then." My eyes widened and my mouth dropped. "Petra, I don't love you. I'm sorry, I see you as a cadet, nothing more nothing less. And as for her she'll wake up." I said softly. She had tears in her eyes but nodded. I dismissed her and she ran out. Why is she so complicated? I thought back to what she said about Lou. She'll wake up right? Of course she will. I was pulled back into reality by a knock on the door. "Yes?" I asked a bit down due to thinking about her. "It's about your sister sir." I knew it was the doctor so I let him in. "Sir I need you to hear me out." I nodded and let him continue. "Basically she's awake but-" I didn't let him finish as I ran out of the room and headed for the infirmary. I burst through the door and she was sat up and looked at me confused and a bit fearfully. "You're awake." I breathed and ran to her hugging her. "I'm sorry but you are?" She said, confusion lacing her words. "I'm Levi. Do you not remember me?" I asked a bit concerned. She jumped and coward to the corner. "G-get away!" She yelled. I was taken aback. "Lou please." I tried calming her. "She warned me from you. You want to kill me! I'm here because of you!" She yelled. "That nice woman told me how you raped her and tried to kill her!" She yelled again. Tears came to my eyes. "Lou it's me Levi. Your big brother. Remember me?" I asked reaching out towards her. "Shhhh it's ok." I cooed as she started crying. I came towards her and held her tight to my chest. "Shhh it's ok. I'd never plan to hurt you. I love you baby sis." I did trying to calm her down. "I don't remember anything Levi. Please take care of me." She pleaded. I smiled and nodded my head whilst stroking her hair. "How could I not help you?" I asked and chuckled. "Hey before the accident you were promised to make cookies. Since you've been gone for 3 months wanna make them now?" She jumped around in my arms and chanted 'yes' over and over again.

"Okay let's go. I'll introduce you to your old squad. Actually before the accident you raced them and beat them." I said as I guided her by hand through the halls. "When you see a crazy lady with brown hair, and she tries to speak tell her this ok?" I said whispering into her ear. She giggled and nodded.

We walked through the doors of the mess hall and all eyes were on us. The new recruits stared in shock as I walked through with Lou. I heard people whispering. "Jaeger, special ops table now." I commanded. He saluted and followed me.

Your POV

I smiled at the boy I knew as 'jaeger'. He smiled back but I could see he was scared.

Everyone was dressed in this uniform and there I was, walking in bunny slippers (I swear I have a bunny obsession. Lmaoooo.) and some kind of sweater. My hair was a mess but I didn't care. (Pic above.)

"Lou I introduce you to the special operations squad." I heard Levi say but I was too busy looking around. "Lou. Lou. Hey! Lou!" He yelled. I turned around realising that was me. "Oh hi." I shyly state.

I sat next to 'jaeger' also known as Eren. "Eren has beautiful eyes." I said whilst eating my bread. "Um...T-thanks." Eren stuttered. I chucked and kissed his cheek. "You're cute." I said smiling. I looked at him and saw he was as red as a tomato. Levi on the other hand looked like he was about to murmur someone. And I feel like that 'someone' was Eren. "Oh Levi cool down. I didn't know you had such a evil glare. By the way I remember someone." I say all eyes turn to me. "Well kind of. I remember his eyebrows. They look like fucking slugs." The table emerged in laughter except Levi. "Don't be swearing, you're too young." Levi scolded. I rolled my eyes. The woman I knew as Petra piped up. "You shouldn't treat Levi heichou like that." She glared at me. And suddenly it started coming back. I gripped onto my head. "Lou!" Levi called and everything went black.

"Ugh for fucks sake." I groaned as I sat up. My eyes fluttered open and i saw commander Erwin and Levi standing in the corner. I saluted. "At ease." Erwin chuckled. I dropped the salute and motioned my brother to come forward. He sat on the bed and I crawled onto his lap, getting comfortable. "What are you doing?" He asked in a cold voice. "Sleeping." I replied yawning. He wrapped his arms around me. " I see you've remembered everything." Erwin spoke. I just miserly nodded and melted into Levi's chest. "I saw mum." I whisper and I felt Levi tense up. "Oh really?" He asked and I nodded. "I saw you coming to me when I was asleep. I heard you. I saw mum at the other end. When I walked to her doctors were running at the other side. I decided to sit in the middle when she left. She came back later and I told her I can't leave you. She smiled at me and told me she loves me and that I need to take care of you." I finished my little story. I felt Levi shaking a bit. "Commander all due respect but may you leave us alone for a while, I'll come to your office later if need be." Erwin nodded and left. The second the door closed Levi broke down in tears. I held him as he did so. "I'll die for you if I need to. Your life is worth more than mine." I smiled sadly. He shook his head and looked me in the eye. "I won't let that happen you understand?" I smiled sadly and nodded. "Love you honicha." I say hugging him. He hugged me back. "Love you too lil sis." I chuckled and fell asleep in his arms.
