CC:

It's been days since she left. I wonder what she's been doing, probably flirting and going on dates with guys. Now what am I supposed to do for a year, look for a new best friend? I sighed and went home and crawled into bed. I laid there for hours thinking about her.

Sam:

I sat by the bus window, sketching a picture of CC sleeping. Xena was asleep next to me and Uncle Andy and Aunt Juliet weren't up yet, or they haven't left their room yet. It's nearly noon and I miss CC terribly. It's been a month since I last seen him. I sighed and stroked Xena's fur then went back to adding detail to CC's eye. "What are you working on?" Aunt Juliet asked. I quickly closed the sketchbook.

"N-nothing..." I said, hiding the book.

"Well we are off to the show, are you coming?" she asked.

"No I think I'll stay in the bus this time. I have something I need to go." I answered. She nodded and followed Uncle Andy out of the bus. As soon as they were gone I picked up my phone and called CC. It rang...and rang....and rang....until it went to voicemail. I hung up. I took Xena for a walk, then tried calling him again when we got back to the bus. Again no answer. I decided to take a nap while my phone charged. When I woke up I had a miss call from CC. So I tried to call him. He didn't answer. I angrily growled, and threw my phone. I left it by the door and just went to lay in my bed.

CC:

I had so many calls from Sam, but every time I tried calling back, she didn't pick up. Every time she called I was either sleeping, taking a walk, or in the shower. Tonight I was going to a party and I planned to get drunk. Maybe then I would be able to stop thinking about her and sleep. I left the house and headed to the party.

Sam:

When Aunt Juliet and Uncle Andy got home, they brought my phone to me. "Hey sugar, you okay?" he asked.

"No.." I sighed and rolled over, "I also don't want to talk about it either."

"Alright, we're here is you ever do." Uncle Andy said. I didn't answer and they left.

Andy:

I was sitting by the window when Xena ran out of Sam's room. She started digging through the pillows on the ledge and pulled out Sam's sketchbook. "What is it girl?" I asked. I picked up the book and flipped through it, realizing all the pictures were of CC except for four of them. Then it hit me, she missed CC. When she said she had a crush on someone, she meant CC. We were so far away from home, it wasn't funny. I couldn't just turn around and we'd be home in five. Five days maybe, if we didn't stop for gas or bathroom breaks. I sighed knowing how much pain she had to be in. If only I would have seen it earlier. I might have considered taking CC too. I showed Juliet the sketches and she gasped.

Sam:

A few more months had passed and we were heading home. I was so eager to go to see CC. I watched as the bus pulled up to the house and I ran off it, Xena running playfully behind me. I busted through the front door, "CC I'm home!" Dad just came around the corner. I hugged him, then went to help bring all my stuff in. "Dad, where's CC?" I asked, my huge smile fading.

He sighed, "He isn't here, he's at home getting ready to go to a party." I smiled and kissed his cheek, then ran off to unpack. After hours of unpacking I looked through my clothes, trying to decide what to wear. I shrugged and went to take a long refreshing shower. I washed my hair, then rewashed it. I did the same with my body and face, then got out and braided my hair. I pinned it up in a bun, then went to go find clothes. I settled into a pair of skinny jeans, black heels, and a long black strapless shirt with a brown belt across the middle. I blow dried and unbraided my hair, ledding it fall in beautiful loose waves. I put on some grey eyeshadow and black winged eyeliner, then, put on a few black bracelets, including the one from dad. Once I felt that I was ready I went downstairs and told dad I was going to the party. "What's the rush? You just got home?" he said, blocking the door.

"I have to go see CC." I said, trying to get past him. He wouldn't move, he stood there with a look like he knew something I didn't.

"Baby, I don't think you should go." he said.

"Why not?" I questioned, looking him dead in the eye.

"There will be drunks... and people having sex everywhere. You might see something you don't wanna see." he said trailing off. He stared at the floor.

"I'm twenty one years old dad, I'm not a little girl anymore. I can handle myself." I said and pushed him out of the way. I got into my car and headed to the party. When I got there, there was a long line of cars looking for a place to park. Once I got out I had so many people gossiping about me. Oh my gosh, that's Ashley Purdy's daughter! Most of them shrieked. When I made it inside I had guys come up to me asking if I wanted a drink or if I could give him a lap dance. "No thanks.." I said, smelling the whiskey on his breath. I walked farther into the party, dad was right, drunks and people having set were everywhere. One guy pressed me up against the bar.

"Hey baby, you're Ashley Purdy's daughter." he said.

"Yeah so?" I asked.

"That means you should be just like him right?" he said leaning in. "Why don't you and me go upstairs and have a little fun?"

"Uhh, sure, why don't you go on up and I'll be up there soon." I said. She smirked and headed up the stairs. I rolled my eyes and kept searching for CC. A group of dancing people crowded me, so I had to push my way through. What was with this party? I was only looking for someone. I was like it was hiding something that I shouldn't see. I made it through the crowd and I gasped. Straight in front of me was CC. He was sitting at a bar, kissing on a girl.

"Babe stop!" she laughed, "You're drunk." I felt my heart break into a thousand pieces. He looked up.

"Sam! You're home!" he shouted, jumping from the stool. Tears immediately started falling from my eyes as I turned around and bolted through the crowed and out of the party. I ran through the people who tried to stop me. Who made Ashley's daughter cry? They all questioned. I got into my car and pulled out of the parking lot and raced off. Once I got home, I ran into the house, not stopping to answer dad when he asked what was wrong. I slammed my door, stripped off my party clothes and sat in the shower crying. I washed the makeup off my face, I sat there, crying, for hours. How could he?! I thought he was my best friend. How could he hurt me?

"Sweetie...you okay?" dad asked, after knocking on the door.

"No! Go away!" I screamed, breaking down even harder. I sat there, the water pouring on my head and down my face.
