A/N: Just a heads up if you are a Smol reader and don't like swearing then sorry, and people get beat up. Whoops

Samuel Seabury woke up on another cloudy day to find his roommate out again. Probably over at James' dorm. At this point they basically live in the same dorm. It's been 3 months you'd think they would stop being attached at the hip already! He thought getting up.

Samuel clicked on his phone. 12:48? Ugh I should probably get out of bed. He swung his legs around and put his bunny slippers on before standing up and trudging over to the coffee machine on his desk. He turned on the Heathers soundtrack while he waited for the coffee to be ready. He looked at his clock. Samuel couldn't say he was longing for his soulmate, but he wanted to be prepared. The coffee was done and he took a sip before looking. He almost spit his coffee out.

"12 minutes? Holy shit!" He said out loud. He put his coffee cup down and ran over to his closet, absentmindedly singing along. "Welcome to my school, this ain't no high school, this is the thunderdome." He grabbed a pair of jeans and one of his infinite sweaters. It was the middle of November, and he got cold easily. What else do you want from him?

He walked over to the mirror and grabbed a brush. "But I know, I know, life can be beautiful. I pray, I pray, for a better way. If we changed back then, we could change again we could be beautiful." He sang running a brush through his red mane of hair.

He drank his coffee while putting on socks and a pair of converses, and when he finished his coffee he grabbed the headphones from his bag and his wallet before walking out to the student café humming along to Candy Store.

Why does food have to be so far? He wondered. By the time Fight for Me started he was just in front of the place he likes to call The Nest. It's where everyone hangs out, especially the more popular kids on campus. He always avoids hanging out there because, well, everything about him would probably cause a punch or two to go his way. But while heading to get food it's unavoidable.

He saw a small group of people beating up a freshman in the corner. He looked at his clock. I have like a minute and a half left. I'm supposed to meet my soulmate in the student café right? He wondered walking over to where he planned to go. His legs started pulling him towards the fight. Is my soulmate the one getting beat up? He wondered carefully walking over.

"But I would fight for you, if you would fight for me" he tried to pay attention to the song but he couldn't. He got closer and closer. I think he's the one getting beat up. He has to be. I mean he's the only one I can't really see except for the person beating up the kid. He thought. He paused the music. He looked at his clock. I'll see the face soon. He thought. He looked and watched in horror as someone was about to throw another backlist to a poor kids face.

I think his name is George King. I've met him before. Wait... who's that guy beating up George? He's not... he thought frozen. Samuel watched the other guy stare at a spot on his wrist. The spot where his clock was. It too had ran out, and Samuel watched his face scan for anyone in the area he didn't know before landing on him.

Tears in his eyes Samuel ran off back towards his dorm.

"Hey Sam, what's wrong?" He heard someone ask. Peggy Schuyler. She was one of his closest friends here. She was the reason he had more than one friend.

"My... my soulmates... I'm Veronica!" He cried.

"Wait that's Heathers right? Sam explain a bit please?" Peggy asked hugging her friend.

"M-my soulmate is... he's like J. D. he... he was b-beating up G-George o-over th-there... w-what if he h-hurts me Peg? What if he hurts someone else more?" He cried into her shoulder. She pulled away and started storming off in the direction Samuel came in.

"Where is he?" She asked angrily dragging Samuel.

"Th-there" he said pointing to where they were before, George was still on the ground in pain but all of the guys friends had left.

"Listen up you dick, my friend here is your fucking soulmate. If you hurt him I will personally end you. So congratulations. You found your soulmate." She burst face red with fury. She let go of Samuels arm and stormed off.

"Uh... I... I'm sorry about her. Th-that's just my friend Peggy. M-my name is S-Samuel S-Seabury." He stuttered out nervously.

"Charles Lee. Quick question will she actually kill me? The look on her face says so but..."

"Oh no. She c-can talk a lot but s-she couldn't hurt a f-fly. Unlike you from what I've gathered" he said hurt.

"But he is a freshman!" He said as if that would make it acceptable.

"And h-he's right there!" Samuel said walking over to where George was still laying. "Hey, it's ok. George right?" He whispered in his ear. He saw the blond haired kid nod and rubbed his arm. "It's ok. Want me to get you back to your dorm room? Or maybe to your soulmate?" He asked earning a small sob from the freshman.

"S-she d-died. M-my dorm would b-be fine thanks."

Samuel lifted him up and carried him towards the freshman dorms. "You stay here. I'll talk to you when I'm done helping this poor kid here." He called over his shoulder to Charles. "Which dorm number?"

"139."

"Ok. Do you need any help once you're there? Anything I can do?"

"I... I should be good. My roommate should be there." Samuel carried him into the door of 139 and laid him down on the unoccupied bed.

"There ya go. I'm really sorry about him. But I've got to run. Bye!" He called and ran back to where Charles was.

"What the ever loving fuck makes you think it's ok to hurt people?!" He shouted walking up to him livid.

Charles looked around. None of his "friends" were there. "I honestly didn't want to. James Reynolds, the really tall one... he is the one who does all this. He finds a kid to pick on... and John Adams, me, him, and sometimes Thomas Jefferson, we all have to pick on him. If Jefferson is with us typically it's someone of his choice. But he usually avoids us unless he's looking for something." He said nervously, his eyes darting around, making sure nobody else was listening in.

"Wait... Thomas is my roommate. He would never... well... ok maybe." Suddenly it hit him like a slap in the face. "That's why he would... oh. Ok. But... if you had to choose... would you still do... this?" The answer he was looking for. The answer that decided if he could trust his soulmate.
