-At Papyrus's House (Now Papyrus owns the house on the surface because Sans is not here.)-

(Y/n) sat on the bench outside Papyrus's house. Their hand grazed the oak wood as a cool breeze swung by their face. Currently, they were waiting for their family (or friends) to step outside the door and start their quest to find their friend. 'If he is even my friend.' (Y/n) pondered as their gaze wondered to the trees.

The trees swayed with the breeze that ran across the village. (Y/n) never told anyone, but they always thought that the wind was dancing. An ancient song and dance that the wind kept over the years, waiting for someone to find it. To pass it on.

'It probably sounds stupid.' (Y/n) chuckled as they heard a soft click, and something slowly slide open against the floor of the house. (Y/n) cranked their head a little to the right, to see their family walk out. They all had sad looks on their faces, as if they knew they weren't going to succeed. The human hated when they saw their family like this, and would do anything just to see the tiniest of smiles from them.

Undyne was the first to speak up. "Well punk? What are we waiting for? Let's go!"

"B-But. . . We d-don't k-know where to g-g-go! A-And plus, Sans doesn't w-want t-to see us. . ."

"Does that mean you're giving up Alphys?" (Y/n) mumbled.

"No!" Alphys quickly stated, then calmed back down. "I'm just saying! You k-know w-what happened last t-time. What if h-he does s-something d-d-drastic?"

"NONSENSE! SANS WOULD NEVER HURT US. IM SURE HE WAS JUST NOT IN THE RIGHT MIND! WATCH!" Papyrus said. "WE'LL FIND HIM!"

(Y/n) chuckled at Papyrus's enthusiastic attitude. 'He's so much like a kid.' (Y/n) thought as Papyrus started talking about his new spaghetti recipe that Undyne taught him. But he didn't know what Sans was really like. Nobody knew.

It was just a disguise to hide what happened. What (Y/n) had done to everyone. They weren't even sure if Sans would come back.

But (Y/n) was going to find Sans, one way or another.

'Maybe after he came back I could grab the knife and kill him!' (Y/n) mind was suddenly clouded with creepy thoughts. 'No, killing him is too easy. I'll tie him up and cut him into pieces for leaving us! Then I'll burn his ashes outside so nobody will know!' Wait, that wasn't what (Y/n) was thinking?

"Come on, my child!" (Y/n) suddenly heard Toriel's voice as they looked up and saw everyone leaving. (Y/n) scrambled off the bench and ran towards their family.

"Where are we going first, mom?" (Y/n) asked as they ran close to Toriel.

"We are heading to the forest!"

"What?" (Y/n) said, puzzled. "Why the forest?"

"Because, my child." Toriel started. "Recently some monsters and humans kept reporting sights of a monsters running around. . . with a knife. All their descriptions match Sans, so we are going to head there first."

Of course, (Y/n) didn't believe what Toriel was saying. It just, didn't make sense! Why would Sans have a knife? Why was he in the forest? Have they ever thought tha-

"My child! Are you okay?" Toriel shook (Y/n) out of their thoughts.

"Yes. Sorry but, why would Sans need a knife? He's got his bone attacks and blasters mom."

"DONT WORRY HUMAN! WE WILL FIGURE IT OUT LATER." Papyrus screamed as they all continued forward.

Toriel looked at (Y/n) with a worried expression, but (Y/n) gave her a reassuring smile as they strolled through the (creepy as sh*t) forest.

-Time Skip(So Many Time Skips)-

They found Sans.

After walking for at least an hour, strolling through the never ending forest, the group came upon a certain small figure sitting in the center of a large clearing. From what they could see, Sans was just sitting there, staring at the sky. Stargazing or, sky gazing (idk)? Papyrus tried to run at him, but they had to hold him back.

They had originally came up with a plan before hand. Papyrus approach Sans first, of course because they're siblings. Toriel and Asgore would step up second, and Undyne and Alphys would come third. And (Y/n) would be the very last one, or wouldn't come out at all until they all talked. Just to be safe in case Sans does something.

But they weren't expecting what was coming next.

-No Ones P.O.V-

Papyrus ran into the open, Sans hearing the footsteps approaching and turned around. Sans looked. . . scared, for some reason.

"BROTHER! I HAVE BEEN LOOKING ALL OVER FOR-" Papyrus was cut short as Sans summoned a couple bones in front of Papyrus. Sans grunted as he used a little bit of blue magic to shove Papyrus back, but not enough to hurt him. He would neeeevvvverrr hurt Papyrus.

"WAIT!! WHAT ARE YOU-" Sans wasted no time, and engaged into battle immediately. But not just with Papyrus, but with everyone else. Even (Y/n).

"HEY, HEY! WAIT, HOLD O-" Sans, taking out his left hand, took hold of his brother's SOUL, turning it blue and swung him towards everyone who came out of their hiding spots. Everybody was knocked off their feet as Papyrus came into contact with their bodies. Sans's grin faulted as he watched them struggle to get up.

Sans. It's my turn.

He stumbled back a little before looking up. His eye was flashing blue with a hint of red for some reason. Everyone was stunned. Sans would never hurt his own brother.

He took hold of Papyrus's SOUL again, and harshly flung him into the air, then into a tree on the opposite side of the clearing.

(Y/n) panicked, their breathing becoming uneven from the sudden change of plans. They were starting to second guess their choice about RESETing. Maybe they should have RESETed.

"SANS! NGAHHH! STOP!" Undyne howled as she summoned her spear and dashed towards Sans. Within a second, she summoned a barrage of spears that was heading to rain down on him.

For some odd reason, Sans's eye sockets widened in fear, then returned to a crazed-smile. He looked, sad. But (Y/n) couldn't explain it.

"Leave me ALONE!" Sans screamed with such venom in his voice that no one heard before. Magic was thick in the air as Sans grabbed all their SOULS and brought them down. Undyne pulled her head up to look at him, making Sans pull her down even more.

"Sans! Please, we're trying to help you!" Toriel struggled against his power.

"I don't need your help."

"Why? What Papyrus said? That wasn't true! Trust me Sans! Please!" Toriel said.

"I don't care about what Papyrus said."

"Then why won't you let us help you?"

"Because." Sans said.

"Because what, Sans!?" Alphys screamed.

"Because I hate you all."
