Maven's POV
I rested my forearms on his chest, my eyes gently closed as I listened to his soft snores. He shifted and rolled on his side slightly, his body now facing me. I looked down and gazed at his sleeping face. His hair fell over his forehead gently, his mouth agape.
I smiled and brought my hand up, caressing his cheek until he twitched.
"Dorian..." I whispered. He let out a sigh and wrapped his arm around me, pulling me flush against his chest.

I laughed gently, my arms linking around his neck.
"Why are you up, gorgeous?" He whispered, his hands wrapping around my lower back.
"It is 6:00, we shall be up soon." I murmured, leaning up to kiss his cheek. He opened his eyes and I was immediately swept up in his hypnotizing gaze. He smiled, his bed head incredibly adorable at the moment. I bit my lip, wanting him again right then and there.
He petted my hair."You're exited." He giggled.
"I am not! You give yourself too much credit, dear prince." I scolded before throwing the blankets off and getting up.
I bent down to gather my clothing from off of his floor when I felt firm arms wrap around my waist from behind, and a feeling against my back that made me think of last night again.

"I could help you." He purred into my ear, licking just beyond it."Perhaps." He breathed before nibbling on my earlobe.
"W-we must get back." I stuttered, leaning against him despite my best efforts.
"I can make you feel real good, Maven." He growled in my ear. I swallowed.
After taking a moment to control myself, I turned around and linked my arms around his waist, resting my head underneath his chin. He laughed gently, kissing the top of my head.

Then there was a knock on the door. My gaze flickered to the door in horror. Dorian felt my nervousness.
"Your Highness?"
I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around Dorian tighter, not wanting to let go.
"Go bath, love. I shall handle the interruption." He whispered. I nodded weakly and let go of him. Gathering my clothes, I looked behind me and noticed Dorian find his underwear and pull them on, then proceeding to throw on some pants from his closet. He locked gazes with me and I found myself frozen. He began walking toward me and kissed my forehead, my tears now against his neck.
He looked down at me and kissed me softly. I wandered my way into his bathing chambers and closed the door behind me, not wanting to hear their words.

Dorian's POV
I stared after my beloved prince, then directed my attention to the guest on the other side of the door, not wanting to cry.
Or tear this entire castle into shreds. The door opened.
"What is so important that you disrupt my only time of solitude?" I questioned irritably. The guard looked taken aback a moment, then his eyes strayed to the closed door concealing Maven from unwanted eyes. The spray of the shower head filled the silence.
"My apologies," his gaze flickered again,"to you and your guest, but The King of Adarlan has wanted me to remind His Highness that they are to speak later this afternoon." He bowed his head after, placing his hands in front of him clasped together.
I stared at the floor in anger, not wanting to resume my duties. Not now when there was a prince wanting my love but mere feet away.

"I have not forgotten." I met his gaze.
"Let my father know these petty reminders are not needed. I know my duty." I informed, knowing I will pay for that later.
He looked startled, but tried his best to keep composure. He bowed quickly.
"Yes, Your Highness." Still bowing,"My deepest apologies to you and your lady."

Third Person POV
Dorian clicked his tongue. Why was it to be assumed that he had a lady within his rooms? Was it because the alternative was, in their eyes, ridiculous?
Dorian was really getting tired of all the things people think he should be.
"You are excused." The guard left without another word and Dorian was suddenly grateful. He closed the door and sighed, then walked into his bathing quarters.
