"SISTER!"
A goat monster groaned as she opened her
auburn eyes. A figure was looming over her, wearing a purple scarf, a grey t-shirt and a pair of black shorts. His golden yellow hair hung over his annoyed gaze along with his white ears as he looked at her. The goat smirked wittily."Sup bro?" She asked casually as she sat up. The other goat rose to his full height and crossed his arms.
"TORIEL! YOU HAVE BEEN SLEEPING ALL DAY!" The monster exclaimed in his usual loud, booming voice. Toriel put her hands in the pockets of her light purple jacket as she kept her grin.
"So?" She stood up, maintaining her slouched position with hands in her pockets, ears over her shoulders and wry expression. Her brother on the other hand was starting to get really annoyed.
"SO I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU EVERYWHERE JUST TO FIND YOU HERE! YOU HAVE SCARED ME!" The goat waved his arms around with emphasis and Toriel frowned. She hated to see her brother when he was upset, especially if it's her fault.
"Asgore, bro. I'm sorry I made ya worry." She apologized guiltily. The short, white goat remembered how it felt when they were much younger and she accidentally lost him. It was pretty terrifying and she couldn't imagine what her younger brother was feeling. Instead of being mad, Asgore hugged her and smiled. The unsuspecting Toriel jolted with the extra pressure and froze for a minute, unsure how to react.
"THAT IS ALRIGHT SISTER. YOU ARE FORGIVEN!" He squeezed her tightly before letting go. Even if his sister could be a pain in every way, Asgore still loved her more than anything there was. Even more than puzzles or scones and Asgore loved those things. He always made sure to calibrate each puzzle every morning and all he ever made was scones. Scones scones and more scones.
"Come on bro," The female goat walked over to the door of the house and pushed it open with her right hand. Cold winter air blew in from the outside but it didn't bother Toriel. She smiled, thinking of something cheesy to say.
"we've goat to go before a human comes."
Asgore grunted. He hated when his sister made puns. He cannot stand it when she made these witty remarks because it makes him feel stupid that he didn't come up with it. He balled his purple gloves with a golden trim into fists.
"NOOO! NO PUNS!" He yelled and stomped the floor with his purple boots like a toddler. Toriel chuckled.
"But seriously, if we're not there and a human comes.." she paused for a moment to smile and Asgore realized what was coming. He had to stop this.
"DON'T YOU D-"
" ..It would be B-a-a-ahhhhd!" Toriel interrupted him with over exaggerated bleating. This caused the younger brother to storm out of the house without a word. Reluctantly, Toriel followed after him and pulled the hood of her coat over her head. Asgore still had his purple gloves balled up into fists as he trudged through the snow just in front of Toriel. Sighing, the comedian looked around at her surroundings. Snow was drifting in slow flakes around her, even though they were in the underground. Tidy houses arranged in neat lines stretched ahead of them and some monster children were playing outside in the cold snow. The frigid weather would be cold to some but not to the little goat and her brother. They were used to it already. Eventually they passed by the little town and then the sign that read 'Snowdin', pointing to where they came from. After that came trees, trees and more trees until they came to a small looking shack."Did something move?!" A dog popped up behind the counter with knives ready in his hands. Toriel sighed.
"It's just us Doggo, chill." She chuckled at her own terrible snow pun as her annoyed brother rolled his eyes. The dog let out an annoyed grunt before he let the siblings pass. They continued on until they reached Asgore's post that he was currently renovating. To most it looked like a pile of wood with a sign on it. To Asgore, it was his favorite spot to watch for humans. Further on down the pathway was Toriel's sentry station where she had a number of pies and bottles of butterscotch. They stopped there.
"SISTER! YOU SHALL STAY HERE UNTIL I RETURN!" He posed heroically as he said this like usual. The sister nodded; her brother was the coolest.
"K, see ya Azzy!" She called as he ran off towards the direction that they just came from. After she saw that he was out of sight, she took out a piece of butterscotch candy and started nibbling on it. Asgore always worked hard when it came to looking for humans or training for the royal guard. Toriel on the other hand, was the complete opposite. She was usually the one found sleeping at her post or on the couch at home. Getting drowsy, the goat rested her head on her folded arms. It wouldn't hurt to take another nap, she thought as she yawned. Slowly, she closed her eyes and let the soft wind lull her off to sleep..
