History class is by far my least attended class. I just don't see the point of learning about the history of another country when I can vaguely describe the history of my own . But oh what little choice I have.
My Russian is pretty bad but at least in other subjects I can sort of tell what the topic of the day is, but in history all I hear is dates and names . So I follow the class monitor after class to ask about the project we were apparently given . After letting the 3 words I had been practicing in my head for 5 minutes out i get no reply . She barely even looks me in the face so I persist by glaring at her so she knows I'm not backing down. She finally mumbles a few words she had no doubt diluted into simple terms for my simple mind and sends me on my way. I always take a deep sigh to release all the doubt and condescension I accumulate after a conversation in Russian.
