Comfort and Fright

Vic's POV:

I waited nervously for Kellin to respond as he looked at me in utter shock and confusion at the words that sort of, accidentally rolled of my tongue

I twiddled with my thumbs as he just stood there still staring at me like I had told him something seriously bad

"Y-You like M-Me?" he stuttered out sounding so shocked

"Yeah. I do" I whisper my entire confidence just vanishing when I needed it the most

Kellin looked around the room then back at me before he yanked his arm away from me and paced up and down it

"Bu-I- Why?" he says as though it's the most complicated situation in his life

"Do I need a reason why?" I say stopping him pacing around my room and making him sit on my bed

"I don't understand how you could Vic... I mean, no one likes me... I'm Kellin Quinn.." he whispers as a tear rolls down his cheek

"Like I said earlier, it's because you are you Kellin. You are so adorable, funny and above all, really sweet" I smile using my thumb to take away the tears

I see a blush flush across Kellin's cheek as I speak my words to him

"Do you really like me Vic? This isn't some sick joke to see how far you can push Kellin Quinn?" he says sadly

I lift his chin up to meet my gaze

"I swear Kellin, this is not an act. I honestly like you a lot. I just want to get to know you and show you, you are not alone" I whisper kissing his forehead

Kellin leans into me and lets out a choked sob

"If I let you in Vic, you have to promise you won't leave... I-I can't have anyone else leave my life. I've lost everything else..."

"Hey Hey, Stop it. I'm not going anywhere Kellin. Just let me in and I promise I will show you how beautiful you really are. I want to show you the perks of having someone to care for you.... Even if you don't feel the same way as I do... I want you to feel loved" I smile the words feeling so natural to me

"I'm sorry. I'm not used to people being so kind towards me... I'm not very good at social interaction either" he admits shyly

"That's alright. I understand Kellin. You don't need to be afraid around me though. I'm not going to judge" I smile letting him cuddle into me little bit now

I decide to pull Kellin further onto the bed with me and cuddle into my chest. He wraps himself around me and lets out what sounds like a content sigh

Kellin is frozen for a second, before he lets up and relaxes deeply into my chest

"You're so warm" he whispers nuzzling further into my chest

"So I've been told" I chuckle as he buries himself further into my chest

"I could stay like this forever" he coos stroking my arm absent-mindedly with his finger tips

I nuzzle his hair with my hand earning a hum in response

Kellin was honestly super cute. Every little thing he did made my heart jump a little. His voice, his face, even the way he squeaked when he was scared or excited

I wasn't sure how long we had stayed here for but, I didn't care to be honest. I was finally able to hold Kellin in my arms and show him the love he deserves

Kellin shuffles a bit before he whimpers in his sleep, kicking a little and muttering words

"I don't want to do this any more" he whimpers as the tears slowly drip down his delicate cheeks

"Hey kells, it's alright. I'm here, it's just a dream" I say slowly shaking him from his sleep

He kicks a little before he shoots up in a panting mess, beads of sweat dripping down his entire being. He frantically looks around the room before our eyes meet and his features soften a little and he slumps back onto the bed trying to catch his breathe

"I hate those" he whimpers gasping a little

"Nightmares? Me too, they are horrible" I say bringing him in for a hug to calm him down

"Yeah... Nightmares" he whispers in a tone that says that they aren't just nightmares

I don't question him though. kellin will tell me he feels like he can trust me enough

The door flies open revealing Mike, Tony and Hime. They glance over to Kellin and me and gives me suggestive eyebrows. I turn a deep shade of red as Kellin buries his head into my chest, obviously hiding his blushing face also

"So, this is where you were" smirks Mike who was now sitting on the bed with us both

"It's not what it looks like" whispers Kellin who was now practically under my arm pit

They all chuckle and sit on the bed

"You totally ditched us last night, Vic!" says Hime poking at my chest

"Kellin sorts needed me" I say not wanting to tell them his business

"Well will let you off then but... We've got a few friends over tonight and you and Kellin are invited... As you ditched us last night !" smiles Tony

I let out a sigh knowing I wasn't going to get out of this one at all

"You alright with that kellin?"

He pulls himself out from under my pit and nods shyly up at everyone, giving them all a nervous look. To ease his nerves, I lean down to him and whisper in his ear

"I promise I'll look after you. My friends won't let anything happen you don't want to happen" I smile and he nods his head again before mouthing a thank you at me

"We are game!" I announce

-Time Lapse to when they are getting ready-

"I have nothing to wear" squeaks Kellin being the typical gay guy he is

"We can drop by yours and grab some clothes if you'd like?" I suggest

He pounders for a moment before giving me a short nod

"We have to be quick though" he says and I give him a confused look

"Just don't question me please Vic..." he says pleading me with his vibrant blue eyes

"I.. Okay" I sigh in defeat

The car journey was a short one, which meant there wasn't much time for talking, not that I minded. Being with kellin was great, it was so nice to be spending time with him

We stopped outside of his house and Kellin tensed a little. I looked over to him and I could see terror in his eyes. Why was Kellin so scared to go into his own house for? Did the abuse him? Oh fuck, what if they did?

"I-I can't go in there" he paniced grabbing a hold of my hand

"Okay, we don't have to go in there if you don't want to" I say stroking his thumb gently with mine

He nods and we turn the car around and we head back to mine in silence, this time though, it's not comforting at all. The silence could be cut up by a knife it's so tense

kellin pulls his knee's up to his chest and he just blankly stares out of the windscreen...
