Every morning, Emma wakes up at precisely eight o'clock. She gets up, and always goes straight to the large mirror that stands in the corner of her bedroom, her body just barely fitting in the frame. She looks and usually sees a short, pale girl wearing fluffy pyjama pants and a baggy t-shirt staring back at her. She then slowly makes her way to the bathroom where she brushes her teeth and rinses her face with warm water before making her way to the living room. On her way she pulls her hair back into a loose pony tail, a few strands of hair fall out at the sides around her face and in front of her ears. This particular living room was brightly lit, with white walls and a fluffy white carpet, a grey couch sat towards the back of the room and a dark, wooden coffee table sitting in the middle. On the small table, was a radio. Emma turns it on, it lights up and begins playing an indie chill sort of playlist, then she makes her way back to her room to get dressed.

On this particular day, it was cold out, but not the type of cold where everything is wet and everyone looks sad, but a cool and breezy, edge-of-winter type cold. Emma was dressed in her knitted, navy blue dress with black stockings and her large black coat, the perfect clothes for a day such as this one. She slips her phone into her jacket pocket and walks out the door of her apartment. She turns around, slides the key into the slot and locks the door. Emma was somewhere in the middle of her apartment complex, level wise, so the the elevator was her next stop. She pressed the cold, metal button and waited to hear the familiar ding sound to signal her to walk inside. Eventually, she found herself walking out of the large, automatic glass doors of her complex and down the street towards the place she went every morning. The coffee shop on Green Street.
