***Skylar***

My face felt on fire by the time I had reach the kitchen.

"What's up with the tomato look?" Jennifer teased when she saw me.

Ignoring her I took a seat around the counter and my mom shoved a bowl of cereal in front of me.

"Are you alright hon?" she asked and I managed a small nod before I began to eat.

Zaidran entered the kitchen a couple of minutes later.

"Good morning," he greeted before slipping onto the chair next to me.

I glanced across at him as Jennifer and mom returned his courtesy only to meet his eyes.

I looked away redirecting my gaze to the book I was pretending to read.

"Good morning, Skylar." he said and my heart skipped a beat.

"Good morning," I muttered turning the page of my book.

"Skylar put down that damn book and finish eating your breakfast before I leave you." Jennifer snapped.

I bit my tongue to refrain from replying because I knew that my sister's retaliation was something that I wasn't in the mood for.

Snapping my book shut I stood up and walked around the counter to where my mother was scrambling eggs while listening to music.

I tipped up to kiss her on the cheek. Startled she pulled out an earphone from her ear. "You kids leaving already?" she asked looking over my head.

"No, but I am."

"Is someone picking you up?"

"No I'm walking. I think I need the exercise."

"By yourself?"

I was about to answer but Zaidran beat me to it. "We decided to walk together." he said.

"Okay," mom said buying his story, "You both have a good day."

If looks could kill I would be six feet under from the glare that Jennifer was directing at me.

"Let's go, Sky," Zaidran said swinging his bag over his shoulder and handing me mine.
"See you later Mana."

"What was that?" I asked when we were walking down the driveway.

"That," he said mimicking my gesture towards the house, "That was me saving both our asses from being grilled by Jennifer until we reached school.

Even if you were allowed to walk to school by yourself, do you think I would seriously let you leave me with that nightmare. I know that you know what she is like."

"Don't talk about my sister like that." I told him just to see what his expression would be like. I got to admit that the impassive look on his face was not what I was looking for.

We walked in silence for a while before he decided to disturb it.
"What's going on between you and your sister? You seen a little tense when you're around her. I hardly get to see this side of you."

I shrugged not wanting to explain how much my sister hates me because she thinks that I am a threat to her 'relationship' with Zaidran.

He seem to accept my gesture without a word.

There was a low rumbling of a vehicle nearing us and I recognized it as my sister's car.

"Quick," Zaidran said pulling me with him behind a tree and out of the sight of the driver. Almost instantly Jenn's car came into view. She was driving at a creeping pace and I knew she was looking for us.

It wasn't until her beat up red mini disappeared down the road that I realized the position that we were in.

My body was pressed between the trunk of the tree and Zaidran. His hands rested firmly on my waist and I could feel his breath on my neck.

My heart was beating faster than a hummingbird on crack, my breath coming out in short puffs.

My hands were rested on his chest and I subconsciously pulled him closer my lips aching to unite with his. At this point I was trembling, I looked up to meet his emerald eyes which had darkened a couple degrees.

His hand moved to brush my wavy brown hair out of my face. His head dipped making his lips brush mine. I moved my hand and began running it though his hair.

Suddenly he stepped back muttering under his breath.
"We can't do this," he said finally but barely audible. He began to pace and kept on repeating the only sentence I had heard.

I fidgeted where I was beginning to feel uncomfortable with rejection laughing in my face.

"We are not supposed to be doing this," he continued.

I looked down on my bright pink and blue sneakers willing the ground to swallow me. When nothing happened I looked up at him in time to see him storming towards me an unfamiliar look on his face.

I braced myself onto the tree trying to put as much space between us as possible. He stopped in front of me and took my mouth into his possessively.

I moaned pulling him closer to me. Breathe - how do you do that again? What was oxygen by the way?

"We need to get going... " Zaidran said before kissing me again.

"We're going to be so late."

"I know," he began to trace kisses down my neck. He gave me a kiss on my forehead before pulling away.

"Let's go," he said holding out a hand.

I slipped my hand in his and grinned up at him.

The following two weeks were the best of my life. The only thing that I would change was that no one knew about us but I knew we had to keep it like that because my parents wouldn't approve of our relationship. And Jennifer was a pain enough even though she didn't know.

Presently we were on the roof star gazing - neither of us knew anything about astronomy.

"Isn't the night beautiful?"

"Uh-huh," he said and I turned in his direction only to meet his gaze. "But I've seen more beautiful figures." his eyes ran over me leaving a trace of heat in its wake.

"Do you know what it feels like to fall in love?" I asked.

"How does it feel?"

I shrugged. I didn't want to tell him how I feel. What if he didn't feel the same way? I would just end up looking like an idiot.

I began to stand up but he pulled me down on him. I looked up at him and then shifted so that my face was closer to his while closing the distance between our lips.

I opened my mouth granting him entrance as I slipped my hands under his shirt drinking up the feel of his skin.

I finally got frustrated with the fabric and pulled it over his head as I began to trace kisses down his hard stomach. Seconds later mine was off as well and Zaidran was now on top of me.

The clasps to my bra snapped open the same time the doors to a car slammed in the driveway.

We both froze as we listened as footsteps came up the path and the front door opened.

Snapping out of the trance we were in we both stood up and began looking for our shirts.
