---Skylar---

I am presently sitting on floor on a cushion. I can't tell the last time I meditated. And the way my life is going right now I am in dire need.

I closed my eyes and focused on slowing my breathing and heart rate. Soon instead of seeing darkness I was standing in my room.

Everything was out of place. I knew instantly that it was done by my parents. They were probably trying to find any hint or clue that would explain my sudden change of behavior.

I walked through the door and into the passage. It was darker than I remembered and I knew that it was because of the amount of magic surrounding the house.

What was going on? Why did they need to protect the house. I walked through Jennie's door.

Her room was as spotless as usual but there was something off. There was something wrong with everything. I scanned the room but she was no where to be seen.

I left the room and went downstairs. It was exactly how I remembered it but it was the darkest of the house. It was too dark.

I peeked through the window wondering if night had fallen but it was still bright out side.

After searching the house I noticed that no one was home so I headed back to my room.

That was when I saw Jennie. She was sitting on a cushion just like I was. I had to leave before she saw me.

I closed my eyes trying to leave and return to my body but I couldn't.

Whenever I tried to leave it felt like something pulling me back.

I tried again and again but it only got worst.

I went to my door and tried to slip through but it felt like a solid door.

“No,” I muttered wriggling the lock, “no.”

Frustrated I stepped back. I raised my hand. “Open,” but instead of the white orb of light that I always released there was nothing.

“It's not going to work,” someone said and I turned around.

“What's going on?” I said.

“You mean apart from your stupidity? ” Jennifer shrugged. “too much.”

“You should have left the house the moment you saw how dark it was.” she told me. “ I was coming to warn you but now it's too late. We are both trapped. We can't return to our bodies.”

“Until?”

“Until I say so.”

“So what are we going to do? Sit around and admire me?” I asked Jennie.

She offered a small smile. “How old?” she asked.

“Three months,almost four,” I answered.

“Doesn't look like it,” she replied,“Looks like seven or eight. Boy or Girl? ”

“I don't know. ”

“Can I see?” she asked.

“No. There is no way in hell that I'm going to let you come near my baby.”

“It hurts that you think of me in that frame of mind.”

I scuffed and folded my arms, “After what you did.”

“If you're talking about me going to dad I hope you have enough common sense to know that they would've figured it out anyways. ”

“I don't care if they would've figured it out but you're my sister! You knew what had happened, you should've helped! Not try to get me and Zee killed! ”

“The only thing you should be blaming me of doing is saving your life! Mom knew you were pregnant! Call it motherly psychic or whatever but she knew. I had to tell dad first so I would know when he would make his first move. Why do you think that I told them? Because I wanted you to stick around and feel the repercussion? I did everything for you. I had to do it the way I did to make sure that you got through this mess alright. When I 'ratted you out'  I came off as the loyal daughter and like it or not you need my help to survive.”

I stared at her unable to form words.

“I'm sorry, ” I said tears trickling down my face. Strode across the room and hugged her.

“It's okay,” Jennie said rubbing soothing circles on my back, “It's okay, you didn't know.”

She gently pulled away and held me at arms length. “ Now can I please see if I'm having a niece or nephew?”

I nodded swatting tears from my eyes and smiling at her.

She placed both of her hands on my stomach and then looked up at me smiling.

“Well Ms.Chovetsky,” she smiled ,“I am very proud, very honoured, very pleased, very...”

“Just get on with it,” I said with a laugh. The suspense was killing me.

Jennie cleared her throat before continuing, “As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted by your mother,” she said to my belly and I felt a jolt.

She laughed feeling it too, “Did you just kick me,” she said in a trying to be strick voice.

“Jennie...” I said.

“Oh, back to that. It is my pleasure to be the first to tell you....you're going to be a wonderful mother to your daughter.”

I couldn't help the laughter that I released. “And you're going to be a superb aunt.”

“I know,” she smiled,“Do you mind if I see what being she is. I know that she is a witch but I've never really tried this outside of class. ”

My smile slowly disappeared.

“What?” Jennie asked.

“She’s not a witch,” I told her.

“What?”

“See for yourself.”

She put her hand on my stomach again.

I watched her waiting for a change of expression and finally it came.

“Oh my God.”

---Zaidran---

I knew why the baby was growing so fast. It is because the vampire genes inherited from me.

How could Sky know that I am a vampire?

How long has she known?

It was the first since I've went to Brazie that I had ever thirsted for blood that much.

This is also the first time that I can recall not trusting myself...and I definitely don't trust myself enough to be around Sky and our unborn child.

Unborn child.

Unborn child.

It just seem to be echoing in my head. I am going to be a father.

I am going to be a father.

I am not ready to be one. I don't even know my own.

My life is like a jigsaw and most of the pieces are missing.
I don't want my child's life to be like this.

My child's life is not going to be like this.
