The Tea Party

Chapter 1

"Gods morning sleepy head!", shouted Sydneys mother. Sydney opened her eyes from a deep sleep. Her mother looked at Sydney and smiled because of her beauty. Sydney had brown hair with large waves in it. She had dark green eyes with the pinkest lips you would have ever seen. Her skin tone was beautiful and her mother wondered where she got her beauty from. Sydney looked at her mother then looked at her alarm clock. It was 5:36in the morning and she had to be at school at 7:15.

"You fell asleep last night reading so I set out your clothes to make it easier for you.", whispered Sydney's mom. Sydney looked over at her dresser and saw a light purple dress with lace at the top and bottom. She smiled and looked at her mother and said in a tired voice, "thank you so much mama, I'm going to get dressed. Can you cut up an apple and put it in the fridge for my breakfast. Please close the door when your going out to!" Her mother nodded and closed her door. Sydney did the same thing her mother did to Sydney. Her mom has short brown hair. She has brown eyes with really red skin. Freckles everywhere you looked and the smallest lips. Sydney knew about her mothers secret obsession with smoking but knew that she was beautiful on the inside.

Sydney slipped on the dress with some black heels. She sat down at her desk and applied some foundation to her skin. She did her normal makeup with a touch of glitter here and there. She applied her eyeliner and got it perfect! She knew today was going to be a lucky day. Sydney got up from her desk and went to the bathroom to brush her hair and teeth. She grabbed her toothbrush and squirted tooth paste onto her brush. It was 6:02 by this time and she knew she had time. When she finished brushing her teeth she brushed through her hair and put it in a bun. She grabbed her favorite nude lipstick and put it on her lips. She smiled and looked in the mirror as she shouted to her mom that she was coming.

When she stepped into her kitchen her mother was crying. She ran over to her and hugged and kissed her. "What's wrong mom?", asked Sydney. Her mother sniffled and looked at her and said very faintly, "were moving to Texas for your fathers job in 4 days..." Sydney couldn't believe it an thought it was just a joke. She knew her mom could make herself cry. She laughed and said nice joke to her but her mother still didn't stop crying. Sydney knew this was for real. Her mother turned around still crying and grabbed her apples out of the fridge. "Mom, when did you find out about this?", asked Sydney as she took the plate from her mothers hands. Her mom told her this, " your father texted me a few minutes ago. Your father has to do his trucker job up there. I just want to know why can't we stay down here in good ole Tennessee?" Sydney knew that her fathers job was confusing and never to ask him about it. She did not want to stay home anymore so she grabbed her jacket and stuffed the rest of her apples in her mouth. "Bye mom!", shouted Sydney as she ran out the door.
