It was a snowy December day as Kagami and Kuroko trudged through the snowy streets of Tokyo. It was cold enough for their breath to freeze in front of them, and for small snowflakes to fall on the occasion. It was one of those rare days where they didn't have practice and as well it was a Friday. With the weekend starting, Kagami just wanted to get to his apartment to get warm and rest. But that train of thought stopped as he looked over to the blue haired boy right next to him. As it turned out Kuroko has seemingly neglected to bring a jacket or had left it at school, it didn't matter which one it was, but it was obvious that he was freezing. The bluenette let out a smalls shiver and Kagami sighed, he knew he should do something.

Stopping Kagami started to shrug off his Seirin jacket, he would rather go cold than let Kuroko freeze. Kuroko looked up at his stopped friend to see what Kagami was doing. Kagami had managed to get his jacket off and handed it to Kuroko, who grabbed it but didn't put it on.

"Won't Kagami-kun get cold without his jacket?" Kuroko asked, eyeing the jacket suspiciously/

"Yeah, but you are absolutely freezing, I can handle some cold for a bit."

"Kagami-kun, please keep your jacket. It is snowing and you need to keep warm." Kuroko replied pointing to the small flakes falling.

"Kuroko you also need to keep warm, a little cold never killed anyone," Kagami replied, slightly frustrated with his friend's selflessness.

"Then I can survive the cold," Kuroko replied, and then shivered again, but then started walking. Kagami shook his head at the twisting of his words but started to walk again with his jacket draped over his arm.

With a few long strides, Kagami caught up to the bluenette and matched stride. Kagami did keep and eye on Kuroko and caught the smaller boy shiver yet again. Kagami watched as several of the small snowflakes fell from the powder blue hair due to the now constant shivering. Kagami decided enough was enough and unfolded the jacket and draped it over Kuroko's back.

The small bluenette looked up in surprise at the action but did not say a thing, for which Kagami was happy about. Kuroko was his best friend but his stubbornness gets annoying at times. This was one of the few times where Kagami actually won over Kuroko's stubbornness with his own stubbornness.

By this point in time, the duo was nearing Kagami's apartment, it was an unwritten rule that they always went to Kagami's apartment on Friday. This Friday would be no different. It might have been freezing and practice had been canceled but that only meant more time to hang out due to rushing home to avoid being frozen. Though the duo was delayed from the predicament of Kuroko neglecting to have a jacket or sweater.

At last, the two reached the door when Kagami saw a notice on his door. Unfortunately, the heater had broken down and wouldn't be fixed until at least Monday. That would mean that Kagami's apartment would be freezing unless he bought a space heater, so it seems he would have to freeze.

"What is that Kagami-kun?" Kuroko asked trying to look at the paper.

"Nothing, just a notice saying that the heater was broken," Kagami replied, double checking the paper to make sure that is wasn't a joke.

"Alright, Kagami-jun, would you like to make some hot chocolate and I can get some blankets," Kuroko asked as Kagami opened the door to the freezing apartment.

"Sure, all the spare blankets are in the closet." Kuroko nodded at Kagami's statement and went off to grab the blankets.

As Kagami suspected, the kitchen was just as freezing as the rest of the apartment. He did kind of regret giving Kuroko his jacket, but Kagami knew the bluenette would have frozen otherwise. With that thought in mind, Kagami started the water to a boil and grabbed two mugs and the hot chocolate mix.

As Kuroko wondered to the bedroom of the apartment, he was grateful for the jacket that Kagami had draped over his shoulders. The apartment was cold, and outside was even colder, but at least the jacket was warm. Kuroko pulled the jacket closer around him as he opened the closet to grab the neatly folded blankets, then returned to the living room.
