Chapter 3

(Sofia's POV)

"Where the hell were you?"

Alex had brought me back to our camp and into this the medical den where FireTail was patching me up. As soon as I had slightly recovered I began to get yelled at. "Look, I got cornered, there was nothing I could do!"

"Liar! It doesn't take you an hour to be cornered! You were going after Cam weren't you!" She cried.

I winced at the pain in my leg and shook my head denying the truth. "What do you have against them anyway!" I growled.

"What do I h- Sofia! We don't know them!" She howled.

"Maybe you should trust them! They are trying to help us!"

"Do you like him? Do you like Cam?" Alex accused.

I fell silent and looked down at my paws. "You do!" She exclaimed. "Well, I won't be as soft as you, I have to go, I have a pack to protect."

Alex turned tail and left the medical den leaving me alone. I felt my ears flatten against my skull. "Luna Crystal?"

I saw the medic, FireTail or her human name Izzy. "Yes FireTail?" I sighed.

"Do you want more poppy seeds to ease the pain?

"That would be great,"

She trotted over and spat out a black lump and smoothed it over my wounds. "She cares a lot for you, your her friend," she murmured.

I nodded and looked out the window. Suddenly there were howls and whimpers erupting from the barrier. I tried to get up but my leg failed me and I fell down. "what's happening!" I yelled.

"Wind Whisperers have fled from their camp!" LilyFlower, a small white wolf, a new addition to the pack rushed in.

I saw Alex barking orders as she bounded from High Rock and in front of Cam and Mathew. She seemed to be growling and yelling at them. Oh god.... I see Alex running towards me and into the medical den. "They got driven out, thank you LilyFlower but you must leave the den for now," Alex commanded.

LilyFlower bows her head and pads out with FireTail to care for the wounded. "Dark Claw attacked and took their territory," she glowered.

"I wanna see Cam," I whispered.

Alex rolled her eyes and nuzzled my chest to help me up. I limped out into the glade, "Cam!" I yelled as I saw his grey pelt.

He turned around and came over. "We had no where to go I'm sorry,"

"It's fine, your pack may stay here until you can return," I smile.

"Wait what hey no we haven't even tal-" Alex got cut off by a scream.

I whipped around to see FireTail leaning over a brown wolf. "What's wrong!" I yell.

"What happened to him!" She wailed.

Alex ran over and gasped. Slowly I made my way over. The wolfs flank was cut open and FireTail was desperately trying to heal him. "Come Tae, please don't leave me! I love you come on!" FireTail pleaded.

"Wait what? You? Your?" Alex questioned.

"CloudRunner...." I warned.

"YOU DISOBYED THE FOREST RULES! THIS IS TREASON!" she exploded.

"I l-love you too," Taehyung whispered.

Alex began to advance on them but I jumped in front of her. We began to circle each other, her tail swishing. "I don't want to do this," I growled.
