Selena✳

I woke up with money on the bed and the jewelry in a bag. Me and Nova must of split. As I thought about what happened yesterday. I kept thinking about Batman. That's my baby there. He always comes whenever I'm out robbing a bank or whatever.

Me and Nova go way back. To when we was in diaper days. Her mother was a crackhead. So my grandmother took her in. Once Nova was 19, she left. My grandmother ask for her here and there but not no more.

My grandmother left to Mississippi to have peace and quiet. It's been very busy in New York. Gangs, robberys, shootings. My grandma couldn't take it anymore.

I look to my right to see my cat, midnight sitting there meowing. I smile while stretching looking at the money.

"Meow"I said laughing a bit evil.

"Selena. Are you ok in there"my mom knock on the door. Fuck, how the hell ima get rid of this money and Jewelry. I hurried stuffing them under the bed. I walk to my door opening it seeing my mom with my clothes fold up.

"Hey mom"I said.

"Why were you laughing?"she walk right in. I roll my eyes sighing.

"No good morning Selena"I said.

"Selena. I don't have time right now. Breakfast downstairs ready"she said then walk out my room. I close the door looking at midnight. She meow at me then went under the bed.

I walk out my room to the living room. Sarah and my mom was sitting down on the couch watching the news. My mom was folding clothes while Sarah was texting away.

Breaking news:

"There was a break in Mr. Ross jewelry store last night. Witnesses said they saw two females and two males in the store actually fighting. I guess over the money"

"Police said there are hand prints that belongs to the men but not the females. Our community wants to know. What happened last night"

"People these days. Why the hell two females robbing a bank anyways. Can they get a job like regular females"my mom said walking to the laundry room.

"I think it's cool. You don't know if they was beating the guys ass"I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Mhmm. Probably want in. I know how some females are around here"my mom said throwing clothes in the washer.

"Yeah. Like you Selena. I know what happened to my shoes"Sarah said coming in my face.

"What happened?"I said.

"You lied and said that you didn't have it. But I saw them by the bathroom door"she said.

"Selena. Wear your own shoes"my mom sais walking back to the living room. I shook my head grabbing my bag to go to work.

Work✳

I serve people their coffee then sing a little bit of some songs. Some people loves when I'm on that stage singing. I love it too.

"We have a special guest here tonight. Please put your hands together for Odell Beckham Jr"everyone cheered for this man.

"Do he sing"I whisper in Nova ear.

"No. He's a football player"she said.

"Selena. Serve the man his drinks"my boss said. I nod my head. I went to the bar making some coffee for the man.

After making the coffee, I walk up to him and his boys. "Anything else"

"Nah. That's it"Odell said. His voice was deep. Remind me of.....
