CHAPTER 5 LIGHT

GAIL POV :

K-R-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-INGGGGGGGGGGG.......... (ALARM CLOCK)

I realized that the thing that woke me up is my D*MP alarm clock !!!! =_=# when I tried opening my eyes I wince in pain because of the sudden light ... I close my eyes again and tries to ease the pain by massaging my temple. I sit and rest my back against the headboard and close my eyes but an image pop up in my mind that sent a warm feeling in every fiber of my body. When I recall the dream I have last night it feels real like his really holding me and when I look into his eyes I felt captivated unnerving red eyes that didn't scared me at all. Safety, at peace, needed, lust and LOVE is what I felt when I'm near him. That really shock me because I DIDN'T felt any of this feelings towards any MALE BEING that I have been meet but this person in my dreams that I DEFINITELY DID NOT MEET YET gave me those nerve rocking feeling just simply holding my hands.

And there it goes the alarm again.. Arrrrrrg this freaking clock always ruining my sleep and my morning.

"fine ! fine ! fine ! I'LL GET UP" I said out loud not caring that I'm talking only to myself and that FREAKING CLOCK SLEEP DESTROYER ! =_=###..

I went straight to my bathroom and do my morning ritual, like : washing my face, brushing my teeth and combing my hair. Today's Saturday, weekends were my day off so I'm just at home and doing ........ ahmmmm actually ahmmmm nothing.. I pick my clothes and after I change into it I went downstairs and prepare my usual breakfast that include a bowl of cereal with L-O-T-S of milk and one pieces of apple or peaches. Since hanging out in my house all day is quite boring I decided to explore the other part of town that I never been before. Not because I live here I should know every part of my hometown but in my part I only knew few places here because of my don't-socialized-to-any-one-if-you-don't-want-to-be-bullied childhood experience. Think of it, since NOW I am old enough to defend myself I can roam around the town without anyone harming me, well aside from the criminals loaming around the area but since it is still day time I think there's no harm will fall upon me today.

I change my attire to my most comfortable clothes to wear outside then before I could change my mind I went outside then lock the door making sure that no one would get inside it's not that they could get something in there because they won't cause all I have was a little furniture and that's it, no other fancy things, cause I can't afford it.

I walk slowly at the streets not minding the stairs of other people. Even though I group in this small town I only knew few people just like the bakery owner which is Robert (he wants to be called by his first name because when someone is calling him by his last name he felt old). CRAZY OLD MAN. I find it funny though and lastly I also know one of the food vendor at the market which is the only stall that I bought my food every day due to its low price and just like Robert this old couple were kind and approachable whenever I get into trouble when I was a kid their both there for me. There are times that I have no job to support myself and my study but because of their help which leads me to assist them selling their product in return they give me enough food for the day and a small amount of money for my school project that needs to be bought but whenever I got extra money I make sure that I save some of it for my next expenses. It happened when I was in high school and that continues till I finish my high school year, then I start looking for a job after, which leads me to working at the library.

I continued walking but I stop dead on my tracks when I saw what lies ahead of the path. I hesitate for a while but I find myself walking slowly but before I got even closer to the place someone stop me. I turn around and him.

"Hey ! what are you doing here ? are you new here ?" he said while looking strangely at the place at the back of me.

"No i live here nearby, but I am not familiar with this place that's why I just want to look around this area" I said not minding the way the man's eyes got wider when I told him that I want to look around the place.

"are you nuts ? or you didn't know the tales of that place ? all people were avoiding it, but here you are offering yourself freely!!" he said as if I lost my mind for continuing to venture on the said FORBIDDEN LAND.

For Christ sake I didn't even know what he's talking about !!! he is just so freaking me out.

"what are you talking about ?" I said with irritation in my voice.

"that (pointing the place at my back) is curse ! many people disappeared just entering the place. They say there's creatures guarding that forest against the intruders." He said with frighten voice as if he's imagining the image of the creature and the things that he might do to the said "INTRUDER".

"is that even a private property ? does anyone own this part of land ?" I ask him this for me to know if is this place really do belong to someone, because in that case I'm not going to pursue going in the forest.

"some say "yes" but we really don't know ! but if you cherish your life I won't take a risk by getting in that place." He warn before he left me.

I tried processing what the man have said. When I think it deeper all what he you can react was "WHAT THE HELL" or like "IS HE CRAZY" or "BULLSHIT". For someone who didn't experience unnatural phenomenon in her/his life you would think twice before believing someone and believing such foolish things like that but in this kind of town (a town wherein every phenomena is normal occurrence) you should think twice because you don't know whether it is true or not.

While thinking if I'm going inside the forest or not I felt chills run down my spine like as if someone is watching me. Even though I felt scared I tried to mask it with determination and face the place at my back. I turn my head slowly but all I could see were trees.

"I think this is enough for today, it's getting dark" I said to myself, I took one last glance and went home. I reach my place before dawn and I went straight to my room.

AUTHOR'S POV:

She went upstairs to take a rest but when she is in front of her room she saw that there's a light coming inside her room. Confusion is showing in her face because of what's happening inside her room.

"that's strange I didn't leave any open lights or even candle a while ago ! SO WHERE THE HECK THIS LIGHT IS COMING FROM?!!!"

She walk slowly quite hesitating to approach her room but she didn't have any choice at all. When she's already in front she grab the door knob and twist it and she open it slowly and she saw made her froze in her place.
