Suicide Attempt

The hospital

I sat up immediately, my breathing was heavy, but painful.

"Skylar! You're awake? Are you okay? How are you feeling?" Taehyung was the first one to greet me as Rapmonster enters the room with what I assumed was fresh coffee for both him and Taehyung. I pulled the air mask off my face and took in a few deep breaths.

"Yeah, I think I'm okay" I sighed in relief. My lungs ached but I knew I was going to be okay.

"It was just a nightmare" I thought as I remembered the dream. I was still a bit shaken by it, the nightmare was so vivid, like as if it was completely real.

"Wait! Where's Suga?! How is he?" I asked in a hurry and Rapmonster was the one to answer my question.

"He's a few rooms down and the docs say he isn't doing so well. There's major burns in his lungs and bruising around his neck" he stated calmly, not wanting to make it sound as bad as it was.

"Bruising around his neck? But how? fire doesn't cause bruising" I was confused, but Taehyung placed his hand upon my own in an attempt to comfort me.

"Well, the doctors say that it seems like he tried to hang himself before he set his apartment on fire" Taehyung answered my confusion this time and I felt quite taken back.

"What? But I didn't see any rope when I got up there. I mean, I think I didn't" I rubbed my forehead, trying to think about what I saw when I was In the apartment and Taehyung pulled me in for a hug, noticing my deep thinking.

"Thanks Tae" I sighed and thanked my friend as I could feel his smile. I was grateful that he knew this would calm my nerves.

"You're welcome, my angel" he whispered and Rapmoster rolled his eyes.

"Cmon, I'm standing right here. If you two are going to act all cute, at least wait until I'm gone" he laughs and teases us both.

"Hey! We're just friends!" Both Taehyung and I yell at him jokingly, then we all proceeded to laugh.

"Are you able to walk?" Taehyung asks, facing me and I nod in response.

"Of course I can" I laugh, slightly wincing at the pain in my chest and lungs.

"Good, because we're going to go check up on Suga and the others" Rapmonster cheers, placing the coffee down and helping me out of the bed.
