{Hey those who strangely think this story is good, I've got something up my sleeve, haha~ You'll just have to wait though. I told you this wouldn't be a one shot. That's all, have a good night/day!}
~Sans' Pov~
My eye lids opened slowly, I blinked twice adjusting my eyes to the light. I remembered the events of yesterday and jolted up.
Something was wrong though.
I was on my bed, not the couch.
I stood up, "Did she reset," I asked myself, "only one way to find out,"
I grabbed a dark blue hoodie out of the corner of the room and put it one, enveloping me in warmth.
I unlocked the door, trying to be quiet. I carefully opened the door, the hinges squeaked loudly as I opened the door, I cringed due to the noise but then walked out of the cold room.
I made my way downstairs, hearing the sound of boiling water, "Papyrus?" I called out.
I heard movement and then my brothers voice exclaim, "BROTHER, YOU'RE FINALLY UP! I'VE MADE YOU A PLATE OF MY DELICIOUS SPAGHETTI! NYEH HEH HEH!"
I chuckled at his enthusiasm, "Hey bro," I questioned.
He looked at me, signaling me to go on with a simple nod.
I continued, and questioned once more, "Have you seen Frisk?"
He gave me a blank look, "Who's Frisk?" He asked, he seemed confused.
I gave him a fake smile, And said "Ah, it's no one. I'm going to Grillby's. See ya."
I'm not going to Grillby's.
I took a shortcut to the door just before the ruins.
I knocked loudly three times.
"Who's there?" A kind, old but saddened voice spoke.
"It's me, Sans. No jokes today," I said boldly.
It got quiet and then her voice broke the prolonged silence, "Go on."
I nodded even though she couldn't see me, "H-has Frisk passed through the ruins at all?" I stuttered, scared of the response.
"Frisk? Is that a monster? I've never heard of them," She hummed.
I growled, Frisk, where are you?
I sighed and quietly said, "Thanks. Talk to you later."
I heard a slight hum and footsteps hitting stone or tile and then no footsteps at all.
I trudged through the snow, hearing it crunching underneath my feet satisfied me.
I only concentrated on my steps that I didn't notice I was at Grillby's.
I shrugged and walked in. Heads turned to me and they all announced, "Sans!" I heard a couple of laughs and then everyone went to their previous activities.
I sat down at the booth, "Grillby get me a lot of bottles of ketchup, and just put it on my tab," I said quietly to him.
The flaming monster nodded and disappeared into a separate room and came back with a handful of ketchup bottles. He placed them down on the stone counter in front of me and went back to cleaning a glass.
I took a swig of ketchup. Please let this be a nightmare.
At least an hour passed and I chugged the last bottle of ketchup. Grillby looked at me and asked, "Sans, are you alright? You've never had this many bottles of ketchup before."
I looked at him, trying my best not to pass out, "You won't even, hic know if I told you! You've hic all forgotten about her!" I soon started yelling until Grillby called Papyrus.
Papyrus came with a dissapointed look on his face as he thanked the fire monster and carried me home, not saying a word.
My eye glowed a light blue as he put me down, I looked around, trying to focus on anything but him.
I decided the floor was the best place to look.
It was silent and I saw Papyrus shift his arm, only then I looked up, he put his hand on his chest and asked, "Brother...are you okay? You're quieter than normal and you drank way more ketchup then you normally do...What's bothering you?"
I shook my head, "it's nothing bro ," I told him, my vision slightly blurry from being drunk.
"Sans I know it's nothing," He said, his voice full of sorrow.
I looked back at the ground, my eye still glowing as my fake grin disappeared and I shoved my hands in my hoodie pocket. I mumbled, "if I told you you wouldn't understand."
Papyrus looked at me with a worried expression, I did my best to avoid eye contact as he spoke, "Then help me understand. Who's Frisk?"
I don't know what happened, but something snapped, hearing him ask who's Frisk, made me yell, "HOW CAN YOU NOT REMEMBER HER!!? SHE DID SO MUCH FOR US!!"
Tears started falling down my cheekbones as I ran to my room and slammed the door.
I locked the door and collapsed on my bed, hiding myself in the blankets as I sobbed.
I can't believe I got angry at Papyrus. He did nothing. He was trying to help.
I heard Papyrus talking on the phone with someone. Probably Undyne. They're probably talking about spaghetti.
I picked up a crumpled piece of paper off the floor and smoothed it out.
It was a picture of Frisk. I smiled staring at the creased paper.
I crumpled it up out of anger and hate in the last timeline but now, I could never dream of hurting this.
This paper, I don't even know how this lasted through the reset.
I stuffed the picture in my pocket. The only shred of evidence I have that I didn't dream Frisk up.
I stared at the ceiling and slowly drifted off to sleep, watching as the dull color of my room disappear.
