Golden Joy
- By EternallyMortal
EXTRACT FROM DAFFODILS (1 Stanza)
I wandered lonely as a cloud,
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils,
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze
SELF – MADE STANZAS
A host of golden daffodils,
A host of golden daffodils
They smiled at me like bundles of joy,
I felt as if the world was a toy,
That life was really meant to be enjoyed,
And not just to be used up in the competitive void.
A host of golden daffodils,
A host of golden daffodils
It rid me of all my worries,
Encouraged me to take up the responsibility of my duties,
Today, in this encounter, I realized that nature,
Was not only a good preacher, but also the best teacher.
And that too without saying a word,
That’s what made it look so absurd,
But this teacher made me forget my vice,
So you better listen to this good advice.
Their ambiguity struck me to the core,
The pain in my heart no more I bore,
The things I used to feel were like a chore,
I demanded, now loved by me, more and more.
This was a turning point in my life,
I buried all the past memories
For I learnt that we must strive
To attain something in life,
Like those in success stories.
