Chapter 33

He wasn't lying when he said he already made me a doctor's. appointment. The next day he wasn't waiting around. He found a wolf Doctor from a neighboring pack about thirty minutes away. I'm not sure if Derek has made it that far. It would be nice if he did. I would just go to him. I'm not to trusting other wolves with my babies. D says it is the same doctor that delivered him. He's was in his mothers old pack. So I'll give him a chance I suppose. I got up late since the appointment isn't until later today. Then I have to go to work. My housewife took care of everybody this morning. Hehe! It was nice to sleep in. I don't get to do it at all. I'm usually up at the crack of dawn with school and the kids.

We go to the doctors office and he checks us in. After I get the necessary paper work filled out, the nurse leads us to a very smelly room. Ugh! The sterile smell. Eww it stinks. I sat on the bed as we sat in silence. I think both of us are nervous. Well I can say I am. D I think is excited. All he has talked about since I went ape shit on him yesterday is becoming a father. I have a bad feeling these kids are going to be spoiled rotten.

A few minutes later the doc walks in. He is a nice looking older man. Looks nice but looks aren't everything.

"I'm doctor Adams. Let's get started. Ari right?" I nod and he begins by taking blood and makes me pee in a cup. Then he started the physical exam. Let's just say neither one of was happy. D was jealous because another man was between my legs and I wasn't happy because....just because. If you ever had a physical exam you wouldn't be happy either. Not the most pleasant thing for a woman to do. He says I'm four weeks along. So I have another 4-4 1/2 more months to go. Oh joy. After all the test he goes on to tell us he is going to set up another appointment for an ultra sound.

"No it needs to be now." D says.

"Son I'll set it up in the next couple of days."

"Umm...No you don't understand. There's more scents. I can't tell what they are. Her scent is all over the place. I can smell two but I smell something else it's real faint. I need to make sure." the doc nods.

"I'm sure it's nothing but I'll check." he says leaving the room. I look at D scared.

"What if something is wrong with my babies?!" Oh gawd no!

"I'm sure it's nothing. I just want to make sure." I nod almost in tears. The doc comes back a few minutes later with a ultra sound machine. He makes me lift up my shirt and squeezes the cold gel on my stomach. He press the wand to me and slowly starts moving it around looking at the monitor intently. Then smiles brightly.

"Ah! Your right." he says.

"What's wrong?" I panic.

"Nothings wrong." he chuckles.

"Then what is it?" D ask.

"Well I know what the scents you smelled is."

"Damn it! Adam's spit it out!" I growl.

"Well...if you look closely. I mean closely." He says pointing to the monitor. "You can see two more."

"We already know there's two." I say.

"No two more." I dont think in comprehending.

"We know two." D isn't saying anything.

"No Ari. You see the two dark looking eggs?" he ask pointing to the monitor. I nod. "Okay see the really light ones in back?" I look really closely to see what he's talking about and when I do I nod. "Your having four babies." he finishes. I stare at him in shock for a minute or two comprehending what he just say. Four babies? Is he insane? Oh hell no! He did not just say four. Four, he needs glasses. Huh? Four. Surely not.
