Chapter Six : Greetings
As I sat with one of my clients, I rubbed my temples. I don't understand how brides get so worked up over the littlest things that will have no impact on their wedding at all. For example, the current client I'm with, Emilly Graham, is freaking out because her fiancé doesn't have a watch to match his dress shoes.
"It may not seem like an important thing to you, Ms. Bellerose," her gaze drifted to my left hand. "But it is an eyesore if the watch is gold and the shoes are black."
"I understand where you're coming from, Ms. Graham, but I must say that this is the last thing you should be concerned about."
Her lips twisted. "You're not married or engaged, so what do you know?"
I bit the inside of my cheek from being too rude. "I know because I am a professional and have been in the wedding business for a few years now. You do not need to be married in order to have an opinion and an eye for weddings." I glanced at my watch and closed my laptop. "Now, our meeting is long over and it's time that I return home." I smiled at her and stood up from my desk. "Thank you for stopping by. I hope you fix that watch problem."
Without another word, she left the room.
I sat back in my chair and groaned. Rome was amazing, and I wished I was still there. Unfortunately for me, I have been back at work for a week and have been swamped. I moved into Ben's place and got out of my contract with my landlord. Ben is busy at work as well. The vacation put him behind on a lot of work and he needed to catch up.
I had a massive migraine and the coffee was not helping in the slightest. I was stressing out about tonight. I would be meeting Molly and Kimberly for the first time.
The sound of my office phone ringing had my cursing under my breath. I picked it up and answered with my usual, "Ms. Bellerose."
"Hey, babe." Ben's warm voice said.
I sighed at the sound of it and leaned back into my chair with a big smile on my face. "Hey, baby. How's work going?"
"Awful, I'm afraid. I have so much paperwork piled up." He sighed. "I just can't wait to get home and see you."
"Are we still meeting with Kim and Molly tonight?" Please say no, please say no.
"Yeah, we're still on for six."
I looked at my open office door and called for my assistant, Laura. "Can you close my door for me please, dear? I'm taking an important call right now."
She nodded and closed it.
I placed my feet up on my desk and sighed into the phone. "I've been thinking about you all day, babe."
He chuckled through the line. "Is that so?"
"Yep. I was thinking about how amazing your dick is actually." I bit my lip. "And how I can't wait to have it deep inside me later tonight."
He moaned through the line. "You dirty girl. You've made me hard as fuck at work."
I giggled over the line. "That was the point, handsome."
"God, I can't wait to be home tonight." He ground out. "Don't you dare think you're getting away with this dirty talk."
I chuckled again. "Oh, I know I won't be."
He sighed. "Well, I suppose I need to get back to work in order to be out of here in time... so I'll see you back at home then. Are you almost done in the office?"
