I went to Ian's house only to see that Kaitlyn was already there. Anger bubbled up in me, I stormed into the backyard, much to the surprise of them. "What is going on here?!" I exploded, it was then I noticed how close they were. "Ian, are you cheating on me," I asked, trembling. "NO! It's not like that, we're friends," He said. "You've got to believe me!"
"How can I, when I see this," I said and gestured at them. I was extremely upset, considering he said he loved me the day before. I was extremely jealous that my best friend had captured this boys heart. "No, listen, we're just-" he was saying. "About to tell you. We're dating, right hon," Kaitlyn said, ever so sweetly.
"NO!!! I don't-" He tried to say again. "Want to tell her this way," Kaitlyn said sympathetically. "KAITLYN! Let him speak! How do I know you're even telling the truth," I asked. I have to keep a clear head.
I mean, she does like him, so it could be possible that she's making this up. "Thank you," he said to me. "As I was saying, we are not dating. She tried to kiss me, and I had just stopped her when you came along." Oh, so that's it, at least he's not cheating on me.
"Kaitlyn, how could you," I asked her, feeling very betrayed. We went away from Ian so we could talk. "Well, it's not like you like him anyway, it's all part of your plan," she said, and when I looked confused she sighed and went on. "You know, the plan to make who ever made up this rumor angry that you didn't set everyone straight?" "Kaitlyn," I said. "I'm in love with him, when I saw you with him, jealousy over took me and I couldn't do anything about it."
She looked so angry, I thought she was going to smack me. "HE'S MINE ZION FONTS! MINE! DO YOU HEAR ME?! I LIKED HIM SINCE PRESCHOOL, AND YOU WILL NOT, REPEAT NOT TAKE HIM AWAY FROM ME!" I was stunned, totally and completely stunned. I never knew she felt this way, well, I knew but I didn't know how much.
"Now," she said. "You are going to break up with him, even if I have to tell him myself." I was speechless, when I could muster the words, I said "No! I love him even though I've known him shorter than you! You can't take him away from me, you just can't!" She laughed and said, "so, looks like I'll have to tell him. See you at school, chica."
She went over to him, and he walked away. Looks like she won't be able to tell him after all. Ha, I thought to myself, looks like I'll have to tell him, and I know that's not going to happen. Now, how to get over my jealousy.
