Legends. These are stories that have been passed on from generation to generation through time immemorial. They are but a testament to humanity's triumphant struggles against the odds, no matter how arduous the journey. These same legends shown that no matter how dark the skies may be, mankind will always find a way to shine brighter like the stars. However, there has also been events other than legends. Historical events also has been a witness of both mankind's victories and foolishness. Victories and follies, these both have contributed to what will happen in the present times. For better or for worse, it all depends on what has been more dominant than the other.
Still, even if the present has a bright future ahead, darkness will always be just around. Waiting for the right time to seep through the cracks and gaps. After all, where there is light, there is also darkness, never to be separated from each other, never to be left behind, both locked in an infinite cycle of tug-of-war, a neverending loop of a fight for dominance. And in the end, we are all but mere pawns in this eternal cycle.
Now, which side will most of us choose this time around? Which side will win in this new cycle? Will the light win this time? Or shall darkness still remain the current victor?
The answer? Only Lady Fate herself knows.
