Its very dark surprisingly. As we go in it's kind of like we're in pairs. Me and Ken, Bianca and Julian, and Angelica and Derek. I see some things on the floor when I step in the door. There's a shiny red wallet that stands out from all the other dark things next to it.
"Haha, score!" Angelica says as she picks up the wallet I was about to grab. "Can I see it? I was just trying to pick it up". As she snorts in disgust I snatch the wallet from her. Angelica quickly runs out the door. Derek following on his heels.
"Guys, guys stop fighting we're supposed to be mature 16 years olds" Julian says. "Me and Julie are just gonna check the upstairs...alone" Ken says. Alone? Why? Let me just not ask questions.
Ken leads me to the upstairs. You can see the sky from the second floor of this five floor building. "So I've been wanting to ask you something for awhile now..." he says shyly. Ooooh. This is my moment. He's gonna ask me on a date. I can already imagine it now. As he starts talking my facial expression changes. Fast.
"Does Kayla like me?"
Oh my god. My world is slowly crumbling to the ground. Of course he likes Kayla. Why would he ever like a smart, talented girl? No, he goes for the dumb blonde with big boobs.
I quickly run down the old steps. Watching my feet so I don't make a fool and trip. I head straight for the door. It won't open. "WHY WON'T THIS DOOR OPEN?!" I say with anger. Julian and Bianca storm in, surprised with disbelief. "It was wide open when we were in here" Bianca says. "It must've been Angie and Derek...those childish fools" Julian says. I bang on the door, hard. Nothing. "What happened?" Ken says rushing down the stairs. "You'd know right Ken? Or is all you know about Kayla?"
