-In the dressing room before the duet-

Chloe had a plan. A good plan, at that. She would get Maddie to talk to her no matter what it took.

"Hey, Mads, c'mere. Let me do your makeup." Chloe said with a sly voice.

Maddie shook her head. "N-no, I'm good, th-thanks."

Chloe smirked. "It's okay, I insist." She pulled the younger girl to her vanity. "So," she said while brushing Maddie's hair to the side. "Interesting bus trip, huh?"

Maddie's face was growing redder by the minute. She could feel herself sweating. Thankfully for her, Chloe was almost done with her makeup.

"If you don't want to answer me, that's fine. Just remember, we have a duet and the whole bus ride home." The now 14-year old whispered into Maddie's ear, emphasizing every syllable.

By this time, Maddie was on the verge of turning around and kissing Chloe again.

No, Maddie. You can't. Just don't look at her.

That last part was especially hard considering Chloe was sitting in a chair directly across from Maddie, now straddling her lower back with the tips of her feet.

"Well Mads, looks like it's time for our duet. I'll see you on the stage. Oh, and one more thing." Lastly, Chloe cupped Maddie's face in her hands and kissed her full on the mouth. "Bye, Maddie. Good luck." And with that, she slowly walked out to the stage, leaving a starstruck 13-year old to make sense of it all.
