Meghan and I talked mostly about the people who moved into the mansion. I was especially curious so I researched about the previous owners.
It held only one family all in its early years. They were very wealthy and studied almost anything, both made them very popular around the town and other cities.

After scrolling through dozens of sites I finally had found a picture of the family. It wasn't very clear or visible however I could barely make out the features of them. It took no energy to figure out that they were a rather beautiful set of genes. The father looked mature enough to be in his 30's, but his young, bright eyes and chiseled jaw and cheek bones made him look ageless. Almost like a god. The wife had gorgeous long dark locks that held rays of the sun hidden in them and bright brown eyes. She too had the image of a goddess. But the son was even more beautiful. He had his fathers sharp features and his mothers warm eyes and dark hair. He was a perfect match of the two.
I copied it onto the printer and had it made out. Why? Maybe just to have it and be reminded of their beauty. I'm really not sure but I had a feeling it would come in handy. Always go with your gut, right?

I felt the need to do more of a local search to find true facts, so I stuffed my wallet and cellphone in my pocket and headed to town.

I may be taking this a little too far, but curiosity killed the cat. And this was definitely killing the cat.

It wasn't a long walk from my house to the library. I have my driver's license, even a car, but I hate driving. I don't have an actual reason why I hate it so much. I guess the risks of it?

The library wasn't too busy, probably a handful of people actually went here on a daily basis, including me.
The librarian, Mrs. Kate, knew me all too well. For my birthday, she had let me pick out 5 books of my choosing and let me keep them without charge. I was a bit excited and literally locked myself in my room and binged read every.single.book.

I was greeted with a warm smile from Mrs. Kate as soon as I entered the door.

"Hello Amelia! So nice to see you!" she exclaimed from behind her big desk.

"Not so unusual is it?" I replied while striding up to the desk.

Hopefully she knew if there was an books on Oakley Falls.

"You seem extra cheery today. What do you want?"

She gave me a sly smile and squinted her fretting blue eyes.

"Well...I was wondering if you had any books about Oakley Falls."

She narrowed her eyes at me, but her face softened.

"I see. I may have something in E-7."

Her hands clicked away on the keyboard like tiny mice dancing on a piano.

"Yes. E-7, all the way in the back shelves. There are four books but I'm not sure what-"

"Okay, thank you Mrs. Kate!" I interrupted before she could say anything else.

I know it was rude of me but I was on a mission. I knew she wouldn't care and wave it off.

I sped walked to the shelves she directed me to, dodging every sudden bookshelf that came in my way.

"E-7..." I mumbled to myself.

The note card that held the print was fading. The lettering was barely noticeable. I plucked a book from my limited choices.

Oakley Falls: Everything You Need To Know.

I searched through the table of contents, but nothing showed up about the mansion. I plucked the next one, which seemed more suitable.

The mysteries, tales, and history of Oakley Falls strangest.

Sure enough it had just a few pages dedicated to the family of the mansion. I turned to leave but was stopped before I made it out from behind the bookshelf. It felt like I ran into an invisible glass barrier or tar was sticking to the bottom of my shoe.

He was beautiful, exquisite even. It wasn't hard to pick him out of a crowd. Especially with his brown hair. It wasn't styled like most teenage boys. It was layered, thick, and pushed back. Not with gel, but crafted by his hands.
His dark eyes shifted from every book in the library. Picking out which book he would buy first. They were a dark chocolate brown. Even from across the aisle I was hiding behind I could see the gold that circled around his pupil.
God might have carved his entire body by hand. His beauty was inhuman.
I moved along the aisle, trying to focus on what I really had come here for. But I was in an utter trance  by this boy.
Thump
His dark eyes now shifted to the fallen book. They had locked with my own eyes, and I had been discovered.
I quickly swept the book up and shoved it into a random spot on the shelf in an attempt to leave before he could catch his spy. But to my luck he had somehow reached me before I could leave the aisle. He reached for the book and retrieved it. Looked at the title and put it back all why looking at me and smiling. He. said. nothing.
I felt my cheeks burn with embarrassment as he walked out of the library. I didn't stay a moment longer after that.

On the way home something bothered me terribly about that guy. He seemed...familiar? I know it's impossible but I feel like I've seen him somewhere.
