Chapter 8, I Can't Believe It

Gavin sat listening to Limp Bizkit. Kat watched him as he head bobbed side to side and mouthed some of the lyrics. She leaned forward and kissed him softly. The two have been married for about 2 months. Gavin opened his eyes and smiled. Kat rested her fingertips on the bottom of his chin and smiled. Gavin's birthday was coming up in a week and Kat wanted to get him his dream car since he got his drivers license. Which is an Aston Martin.  She was going to go with Geoff to buy him one. She would have to make up an excuse to leave. Geoff texted her.

(Geoff) You ready?

(Kat) Yeah,give a second to pull on jacket and a pair of shoes.

(Geoff) Well..I'm out front.

Kat kissed Gavin goodbye and slipped on a pair of Gavin's British flag Converse shoes. Geoff sat outside with a small smile on his face.

"What'd ya tell him?"

"We were having a meeting for RVB." Kat pulled on her seatbelt and sighed.

It's been a week since Kat bought the Aston Martin and it was time for Gavin's birthday party. After awhile Gavin was lead to the garage blindfolded and Kat lead him to his car.

"Open it up Gav."

The Aston Martin was fully wrapped in wrapping paper and a big bow on top of it. Gavin smiled and torn the decorative paper. He started laughing when he saw the car being revealed.

"Bloody hell!!"

"What is it Gavino?" Kat asked.

Gavin pulled away the remaining gift wrap and hugged Kat.

"I got an Aston Martin!!!" His eyes lit up and he kissed Kat deeply.

"Happy Birthday,Vav."

"I love it!"

"Hop in Gavo." Burnie chuckled.

Gavin hopped in and started the engine. He smiled so big and he looked like a child on Christmas. His emotion was nothing but happiness and excitement. He revved up the engine. Kat kissed his cheek.

"Thank you so much!" He pulled the car into the driveway.

"Suits ya,Gavin." Griffon smiled.

Kat and Gavin cleaned up after the party and Shane knocked at the door.

"Kat?"

"Who is it?"

"Its Shane!"

Kat dried her hands and saw Shane standing in uniform.

"We need you in the field,Flame."

"Can't do,Shane."

"I understand..."

Kat sat on the couch and sighed. Gavin hugged her from behind as Shane exited the house.

"You're not going to go are you?" Gav asked slight concern in his tone.

"No of course not Vav." She smiled slightly.

"Wanna go get a few bevs?" Gavin stood up and stretched.

"Whatever you want,babe." Kat pulled on her jacket and shoes.

"Can we take the Aston Martin?"
