When I awoke, I looked up at the time.

1:37pm.

I thought about what had happened last night. I had the most horrible dream.

Was it really a dream? I looked around the room and everything looked normal. None of DeAndre's things were in my room. My phone was where it had been before. I felt a pain coming from my chest and there was a bruise there.

I touched it lightly and pain ran through me. "Ow!"

I got up from my bed slowly and felt around. I had to make sure that was only a dream. I traced every part of my room and there was nothing different. No sight of DeAndre. No blood. No freaky shadow in front of my window. Just the big bruise that remained on my chest.

"I never thought I'd have a dream about that." I say to myself.

"Dream about what?" A voice came from the other side of me.

"Holy shit!" I jumped.

"Lanaeyah!" my sister Amy yelled at me.

"Oh. Sorry. Forget I said that." I said pulling the cover over my other things I had on my bed to make it look nice.

I went to the kitchen and I saw that we had tacos from Taco Bell. I grabbed one from the box and went back to my room. Amy was gone, but her phone was still laying on her bed. I took it and took a few selfies on it and smirked once I was done. I turned on my TV and there was no signal.

"Why does this happen to me?" I say.

I turned it off and got my MacBook. The power was dead.

"Of course. Everything's always gotta have something wrong with it!" I shout. I slammed the MacBook shut and got out my book. I was still on the same book, so I wanted to finish it.

I sat in my bed for a few hours until I finished the book. I put it in my backpack and finished the taco I had forgotten about. Once I couldn't eat the last bite, I wrapped it up and threw it into the trash can.

"Ugh!" I said. "I'm so exhausted."

I laid down and took one of my pillows and put it beside me. I wrapped my leg around it and cuddled up beside it. If only DeAndre really was here.
