Chapter Seven

"So... Jimin... why did you never visit us on the visitation days?" Jimin's actual mother asked after Yoongi and Jimin were invited into their home.

"Uh... I was busy." Jimin lied, "I'm sorry."

"Every year?" His dad asked.

Yoongi sighed, "Jimin, these are your actual parents, stop lying to them and tell the truth. They need to know."

Jimin bit his lip, looking down at his feet as he sat in the couch, nervous of the outcome if he told his real parents he was abused by the parents he chose to have.

"Jiminie, what's wrong. Even though you left, you're still our baby." His mother assured him.

Jimin nodded, "I-I... my parents wouldn't let me come on visitations day... they don't give me much freedom and they... they abuse me..." Jimin admitted, "Only Yoongi and one other person knows."

Jimin's father sighed, "That's what we feared, but we couldn't stop you."

Jimin looked up, "What do you mean?"

Yoongi blinked, he didn't speak up, not knowing anything about Jimin's family history, but he listened.

"They weren't always our neighbors, they came from Daegu and moved to Busan for a short amount of time, and we knew about their old child, you probably don't know since you were so young... but they had a son only about two years older then you, I could see bruises on him and such, but they were such kind neighbors towards us. When the kid turned five, he didn't hesitate to leave. I think he chose a new family." His dad said.

"No." His mother said, "I think he chose to leave alone. Kids rarely choose to live alone, but he was one of them..."

Yoongi's eyes widened, "Do you know the kid's name?"

"Started with a Y, I don't really remember." Jimin's mom said.

"Yoongi, why are you asking? Is there someone you know with a situation like that?" Jimin asked.

"N-no. I was just wondering." Yoongi shook his head."Jimin, you should hang out with Jihyun and your parents since we won't be here for long." Yoongi changed the topic.

Jimin nodded, "Okay."

So all of them hung out for a few hours. After dinner, Yoongi and Jimin decided to leave.

"When will you be back?" Jimin's father asked.

"I don't know... we pretty much had to sneak out to come here." Jimin said.

"Well I didn't... I only had to sneak away from school." Yoongi said.

"Wait, does that mean you don't have any parents, Yoongi?" Jimin's mother asked.

Yoongi nodded, "Yes. I was one of those kids who chose to live alone."

The two boys found a hotel, "Why are we getting a hotel?" Jimin asked.

"Because it's like 9 pm and we aren't getting a train this late at night." Yoongi said.

"Oh..." Jimin said, sitting in his claimed bed, "Can I talk to you about something, hyung?"

"Of course you can, what's wrong?" Yoongi asked.

"I never knew those so called parents I had chosen to live with had a child of their own... that child never visited on visitation days." Jimin said, "Do you think their child is having problems too and can't reach them?"

Yoongi paused what he was doing, "That child was having a hell of a time, just as much as you are having, do you think he wants to go back?" He said angrily.

Jimin's eyes widened, "Yoongi, why are you so defensive all of a sudden?"

"I'm sorry..." Yoongi calmed down, "I-it's nothing... let's go asleep." Yoongi said, shutting off the sleep.

"It's so early though." Jimin protested.

"Not for me."
