The Wedding Plot

Chapter 3

"COME ON JACE! YASSSSSS!!!!!" I jumped up and down as the guy working the game grabbed an exact replica of the "Despicable Me"stuffed unicorn from the grand prize section.

"OH MY GOD. IT'S SO FLUFFY IM GOING TO DIE!!!!!" I screamed. I ran around like a little kid with my new best friend while Jace recorded me for what I was sure to see on his snapchat story later. I came back to give Jace a quick peck on the cheek.

"Meet your replacement for the official best friend position, Mr. Campbell. No, but seriously thank you so much, Jace."

How cliche, I know right. Boy and girl at the fair, where the boy wins big stuffed animal for girl. I wouldn't have it any other way. Jace had brought me here to the annual New York City state fair and had just won me a big unicorn at a milk bottle game. While I was invested in the game rooting for Jace to win, I couldn't help but notice his biceps... Ah! My hero.

"Can we go to the Ferris wheel, please before we leave??" I smiled while pulling him towards the big lit-up Ferris wheel. He chuckled and went along.

After what felt like the longest wait ever, where Jace held me in his arms, it was finally our turn to ride. We were in the little cart with two high school girls who only seemed to be here for the pictures.

"Hey, can you guys please take a picture of us." One of them asked

"Sure," I said taking their picture, smiling remembering my high school days.

"Thank you so much! Should we take one of you guys?" One of them asked after both of them squealed at how cute the picture was.

"Uhm ya sure I guess," I said handing my phone to one of them.

"Can you take multiple?" Jace asked while staring at the girl, to which she immediately replied with,

"Ya! Duh!"

Since when is Jace interested in pictures?

We both smiled at the camera where she clicked away. Then Jake started ticking me, and me being so ticklish I started laughing horribly in his face. Then suddenly he pulled me in for a sweet gentle kiss. We backed away, me choosing to stay in the warmth of his arms.

"Aww! You are so cute together!" They gushed, to which I just smiled and Jace replied with a simple "Thanks"

They went back to their pictures and we went back to looking at the big apple from above. Jace's chin settled in the crook of my neck and me still settled in his arms.

After three turns on the big wheel, we got off and headed towards the exit with my unicorn in tow.

"Thank you so much, Jace! I haven't had that much fun in such a long time." I replied heading towards the Uber here to pick us up already."

"I'm glad, you ready to go? He asked holding the hand without the unicorn.

"Yup! Aren't we meeting Ross for dessert."

He avoided eye contact as he said "Uhm, he had to cancel"

I decided not to push it and ruin the great time I had had today. We picked up some Jack in the Box on the way, my favorite take out food like ever, and finished it in the car before we reached our small apartment in the heart of the city.

I had not even realized it but somewhere during the ride, I had fallen asleep in the car. I woke up in Jace's arms, bridal style right outside our door as he was fumbling with the keys with his free hand.

" We're here princess." He whispered as I fluttered my eye lids awake.

Dang, he was strong... I thought.

He put me down on the bed, me still hugging the unicorn as I blabbed,

"I need to change. This isn't comfy."

I found the energy to wake up enough to take off all my layers (since it was chilly here) while Jace gave me one of his shirts. I loved wearing his big shirts to bed, especially since he didn't mind. He tucked me in, kissing my forehead.

"Good night princess."

"Good night."

Aww aren't they just the cutest?? Please vote and comment to show love. And if anyone can come up with the official ship name. I'm not going to have a cast since the people I imagine are people I know, soooo IMAGINATION TIME.
