Chapter 18

Radha' POV

Krish and I tightened the grip and ran outside. We stood outside and looked around. One side there was a forest and other side was a deserted place.

"Which one?" I asked.

"Let's go to the forest. We might find someone who could help us," he said as both of us ran in that direction.

We started running again and saw a huge valley. It was a deep valley and there was only one way which led from a waterfall. We looked at each other and started walking towards the waterfall slowly.

We were halfway there and I heard some people talking. I turned around abruptly and accidentally slipped because of algae and I let go of Krishna's hand because I didn't want him falling with me. I screamed and was holding the first think I got my hands on which was a tree branch, filled with thorns.

"Ow," I winced in pain. The thorns were hurting and my palms started bleeding.

"Radha!" Krish screamed as he slowly sat down and stretched his hand out. "Radha take my hand."

My attention was on the people who I heard talking. I tried to look at who they were but couldn't. I had to let go of the branch because it was hurting my hand.

"Radha what are you thinking? Take my hand," Krishna said, angrily.

"I can't," I said wincing in pain.

"Why?" He asked as he came a little bit closer.

"If I let go of the branch then I will fall. I can't hold this branch with only one hand, it hurts Krishna," I explained as tears started rolling down my face.

I heard some people talking and this time it was loud and clear. "Papa," I mumbled and Krishna heard me.

He stood up and looked towards the people. "It's them. It's them, Radha. They are here," Krish said, excitedly.

"They came for us!" I said, almost screamed in happiness.

I accidentally let go of the branch from one hand and winced in pain again. "Ow. I can't do this anymore krish. I think I should let go of it," I said. Just as I was about to let go of the branch, krish said "oh no you won't! You can't do this to me Radha. We are almost there, they are here for us. You wanted to see your dad right? Well he's here. And don't you dare take your hands off of that branch."

"Krishna look, I can't do this anymore. After a while I won't be able to feel my palms and then you know what happens," I said, crying. Krish came and sat near the tree. He didn't give up and extended his hand towards me. "Go back with them Krishna. Meeta is waiting."

"I'm not leaving you Radha so stop. I'm also not going with them alone. We came here together and we need to leave together too," krish said as I tried to take his hand.

"Call them for help," I said as krish stood up, waved and said "Help! Dad, Appi, Meeta, help!"

No one seemed to have heard him. "Help!" He screamed once again.

"What's happening?" I asked curiously.

"What's happening is that they are all deaf and can't heard a single word I'm saying," he joked.

"Go to them!" I said.

"And let you fall from here? Oh please I'm not going anywhere," he said.

I looked down and saw a lot of water. I got scared and started chanting. Krish turned around and saw me chanting and he laughed.

"Why are you laughing? This isn't funny ok?" I said.

"You look cute when you are scared," he said.

My cheeks felt as if they were burning. I'm sure I looked like a tomato. "Look at you! You look like a ripe tomato," he joked.

"Call them!" I exclaimed.

"First give me your hand," he said as he extended his hand once again. I stretched my hand and he caught it. He squinted his eyes the first time and some of the thorns from my hand got stuck to his hand.

For a second I thought of letting go. "Don't even think about that," he said, still holding my hand.

"Think what?" I asked, confusingly.

"Of letting go of my hand," he said. "I can take it, just don't let go and try to come up slowly."

I sighed as he pulled me. I let go of the branch slowly from my other hand and put it near the edge of the mountain. Blood was all over our hands. "Take my hand with the your other hand," he said.

"No!" I said. I'm not hurting him with my other hand too. He's already hurting with one of my hands.

"C'mon Radha please," he pleaded.

I sighed and put my other hand on his and saw his face, it was plain. He didn't show much emotions. Oh of course he didn't. He is used to these things. Before I knew I was almost up, I tried to get up by putting all my strength on my hands and then I sat on the ground. I looked down and saw water.

"Come!" Krish said.

"Where?" I asked as we stood up.

He extended his hand and I took it. He led me to the waterfall and we washed ourselves.

"Finally showered after like 2 million years," I joked. Krish took his shirt off which revealed those hidden abs he had. I must say I'm impressed.

This had me thinking of my Krishna. I remembered how he said he wanted abs.

Flashback

"You know I will get abs one day Radha! I'll show mom and dad that I can take care of you all by myself," krish said as I just smiled at him.

"Krishna? What if I'm not there to see-" before I could finish he put his finger on my lips, shushing me.

"Radha don't ever say that. Whenever I get abs You'll be the first person to see them! I promise!" He said as we hugged.

"What happened?" He asked, breaking my gaze which was still on his abs.

"Oh nothing," I said nonchalantly.

"If there is anything you want to tell me, please do. Don't ever hesitate, I'm always here to listen to you," he said as he caressed my cheeks.

"I think we should go," I said, as I backed away from him. I realized that Meeta would've been with them. I mean how could she not be here? Aren't krish and her technically engaged?

We both fixed our clothes and started walking towards the small building. I didn't see where papa, nanu and others went. Krish and I exchanged confused look. Suddenly papa, nanu, Rohan, kavya, meets, and Nikhil walked out of the building.

Krish finally caught up with me and we stood at out spot almost close to the building but more closer to the cliff. I literally had tears in my eyes when I saw nanu and papa standing there.

Neither Krish nor I said anything because we were so happy that they were actually here. We looked at each other and started walking towards them before someone walked outside the building with a gun.

I tried to see who it was. When he turned around and faced Krish and I, I saw him. Why?
