First day

There he is, tall but not too tall, beautiful eyes, a smile that you can't help but admire constantly and a laugh that is more contagious than the hiccups! There is my crush Stephen a crush of mine that has gone on for over a year and I have said all of maybe ten words to him but words didn't matter at that moment. His personality glowed through everyone and brightened the room up in no time even in boring old scho-.

"Okay class it's time to settle in and get ready for this new year to come. I am excited to be your English teacher this year, my name is Mrs. Vell and here is my syllabus for the class. This will be an easy year and I look forward to getting to know all of you."

Stephen was just a few seats away from me but I wanted him closer, I wanted to be next to him! Maybe we will talk this year!! I saw him in my lunch period too maybe this will be my chance to talk to him more than before!

"Hey it is the first day of school stop staring off into space" my close friend said turning around in her seat.

"If I was alone in space with him I would be happy. I mean how, how's your day going?" I ask nervously hoping she will drop the subject instead she rolls her eyes and turns to Stephen who is next to her.

"Would it be to up forward to ask if you wanted to hang out this Friday?"

"Ummm no not at all" he said laughing, "who else will be there or just us?"

"My friend behind me and maybe a few other people that you may know"

"Oh that sounds great" he said looking back and smiling at me.

In that moment I know my face was bright red but I could not stop but smile like crazy. Stephen smiled at me. He noticed me again. This day is so great nothing can make it bad now!

"Okay class at this time I am going to pair you up for a simple project that you will spend the next few days working on before we get into out lessons. Luke and Jade, Cameron and Jessica, Stephen and Elena..."

Wait I actually have to talk to him now? Oh no what if I say the wrong thing? What if I scare him away?? I can't do this!
