The Project

"Now that everyone has their partner move to some spot in the room so you are together and I will walk around with your project topic."

I froze in my spot not knowing what to do but Stephen stands up and moves one seat back to be next to me, "of all the people to be stuck with for this project I'm stuck with you, great" he says smiling.

"Yeah its great" I said cheeks probably so bright. "We had math together last year, do you remember me?"

"Of course I do, we use to sit next to each other and talk... did you forget?"
"No I've been thinking about it since summer... I mean I was just seeing if you remembered" smooth Elena, smooth. Good start with your crush let's just keep up this stalker like act and maybe you will scare him away.

"Okay Stephen and Elena this is your quote, I want you to get a poster and write it out along with background information on the person who said it and what the quote means." Mrs. Vell said coming to my rescue after shocking Stephen.

"Sounds easy enough" I said with a smile "thank you."

"You're welcome" Mrs. Vell said walking to the next group.

"So" Stephen says taking a small break, "did you really mean that?"

"I think I'm going to go get the poster really quick" I said running off to the other side of the room as fast as I could leaving him with this beautiful smile on his face.

I was able to get most of the project done with him in class which was good. The faster we finish the more time we can have to just talk and get to know each other.

"So I don't know about you but I kind of want to get this done tonight so why don't you text me and we can finish it tonight and the next few days we can just relax in here and talk"

"YES!" I yell out, I cough a little and pretend to clear my throat. "haha sorry about that but good idea, what is your number?" We switch numbers and not to long after putting everything away the bell rings to go to next class.

"Well I will see you later Elena, it was good being able to talk to you again!" He says with a huge smile on his face.

God, I would do anything to keep that smile on his face for the rest of his life. He is just so cute and amazing and ahhhh!!! He makes my heart flutter so much. Maybe this whole project thing won't be so bad after all.
