I smelled the air, the whole room smelled like what was in it kids sweating from gym, kids like me. I looked up to the board and saw my teacher Mrs. Keller take out a blue dry erase marker, "Essay on chapter five: Due tomorrow:" I turned and saw the clock ticking, it was 2:09 suddenly I counted with it outloud in a quiet voice,
"5...4....3...2...1" "RRRIIINNNGGG," the bell rang and a smile went over my face I could go home relax and ask my mother about the Washington D.C. field trip. I ignored all my surroundings grabbed my bag and walked out of the classroom.
As I walked in the main hall i heard a sound behind me
"BEN!" It was Mrs. Keller, i turned around and looked to her, she was holding a paper in her hand,
"I forgot to give your test," I smiled
"Thanks Mrs. Keller" I said with a smile, she did this kind of thing often.
"No problem" I heard her say as I already turned around and started walking to the locker room. After putting away my science book and papers i walked out of the locker room, i put my headphones in and walked home and sawn other kids do the same.
When i got to Mulberry street I was alone with no one else in sight I looked down and saw the patchy roads, the town was only putting in small sections of new pavement and leaving the rest alone which i knew would ruin it in the future. I turned to see my street and saw my normal two story blue home. I walked up onto the porch took out my key and opened the red door of my house. I walked in and wiped my shoes on the matt, i took off my shoes and then walked upstairs to finish my papers.
After a while when i was writing the last sentence to my Social Studies essay and had finished my math and english homework i heard the garage open, no doubt in my mind it was my mom she was always home early before my father who usually got home right when mother was done cooking dinner so we could all eat as a family, watch some TV and then go to bed.
After i put away my books and binders in my backpack, I then took out the form for the Washington DC trip and went downstairs with a smile hoping for my mother to say yes. I went downstairs and walked into the living room where my mother was sitting playing games on her computer she was currently into soda smash and i could tell from the sound effects that is what she was playing. My mother turned her head when i walked in she put on a smile pushing her black hair back
"Hi honey, how was school?" i looked to her and shrugged "It was okay, just school..... Anyway there's this field trip for school and i wanted to see if i could go" I walked over and my mother took the paper from my hand the smile she had when she talked before began to fade as she read the paper.
"Whats wrong" I asked with my fingers tingling with worry,
"You can't go, we already spent lots of money on our trip to Hawaii."
I looked at her furiously, my hands lazily lying to the side now became tight fists. My mother looked at me with her kind green eyes but I didn't care I stomped away and went outside. As i got outside I saw that the sun was already down and i felt the cool breeze of the night
"I need to calm down" I told myself, I took out my phone in my pocket lit up the screen and texted my mother,
"Going to take a walk i'll be home in about fifteen minuets until i'm calmed down." I didn't know where to go but I thought i might as well play some music I put in my headphones and listen to my playlist. Without knowing it my body walks me to my school, i remember something. I begin to walk behind my school to the dark forest behind it, I walk forward and there's a fork in the road with two separate roads,
"Which way did i used to go through?" I wondered. I stopped thinking and just took a right I walked blindly through the ground I then felt my body fall over a tree root but I didn't hit anything solid i began to keep falling into darkness below me I landed on the back of my head I began to feel my body shut down.
