woke up the next morning to see that it was still dark, i guessed it made sense because i was in a cave. I got up with my back sore from lying on the cave floor I turned the lights on my ceiling and opened up my metal curtain I looked to see people up eating some slop in bowls I walked up to one of the villagers and noticed it was oatmeal. I asked the village woman eating

"Hello, um.. How did you get the oatmeal." The woman smiled

"Follow me honey, my name is Lena"

"Thank you" I said with gratitude towards the stranger

"Oh, it's not a problem I always try to help the newcomers my job in The Village is as caretaker. There are 18 caretakers overall, there all great people I hope you get to meet the leader Wu before you leave" I smiled "Okay, i'll see if i can find him today."

Finally as we walked and talked we made it to what seemed to be the center of The Village, there were picnic tables set around a stage and on the stage was bowls and big cans with people behind them serving oatmeal to each member that came, on the tables people sat and ate and left there filthy plates in black boxes on the tables.

I walked up to the stage with many staring at me, they all seemed to notice that I was differently colored from all of them I was a pale white while they were all a tan color, I tried to ignore the staring and grab some food. I then walked off the stage and found an empty picnic table I sat and ate quietly just wishing that someone or something would come here and pick me up, it was my first day in this small village and i already didn't like it. The Villagers didn't seem to hate me but when they stared at me like they did I felt hated. Finally i finished and put my plate away in the black box I then walked away quickly back to my hut with lots of nerves.

As I walked to my hut I could see a few boys and girls who looked to be 11 or 12, my age. I walked up to them cautiously seeing them playing with small wooden rings and throwing them to two sides, it seemed like the bean bag toss game I played with my family, I missed them and especially felt horrible for yelling at my mother, I could never see her again for all I knew and it was all my fault, why did I do this too her, suddenly looking at the kids I didn't want to play as much I just wanted to get out of here.

I walked around the village down to my hut and kept walking to the huts behind me, I had to find a wall and follow it to a hole out. Finally I found A wall with names but they seemed to be old written and all had a slash representing their death i guessed, I remembered Ra saying something about a slash when he read the wall ceremony. I then began to walk. I saw many names, some with slashes, and some without as I walked, I wonder how the village might have changed over the years and if anyone had discovered this cave like me, I smiled with sadness inside me I was happy to be here even though I had no idea how this was here. Suddenly i stopped to see a boarded up hole, it was boarded up but I could cut it, i'd have to find an axe to cut it with, then I could get out of here and everyone in the village could forget about me.
