The Station was busy, Sophie and Andy made there way to the ticket office, she still said nothing, although she was coming too and remembering the last hour. She couldn't go to the police, they might still be looking for her, she would have to accept what happened as part of the mess. Andy placed a train ticket in her hand and guided her towards the platform. He sat her down on a bench and took some money from his pocket.
'Take this, you might need it.'
'Sophie felt the notes being placed in her hand, she closed it tightly around the money and folded her arms. She was cold, she could feel her senses coming back. She was still aching both inside and out. Her head was spinning, she wanted her mum. She wanted to be home, she wanted to be in Glasgow. It was Tuesday, she should have been sitting at her desk in the office, Sarah would be opposite her, and they would be whispering and laughing. Mr. Hammond would be busy in his office, she would Que. to use the photocopier, she would catch the bus and go home at night, her dad would be out, but her mum would have made a nice pot of soup and maybe a pot of mince. Everything would be normal. She wanted to be home. She felt naked, she felt dirty. Andy had stolen the only thing she had left, the only thing that she had managed to keep, her pride. Now, she had nothing. She was an empty shell waiting in a station for a train to take her home.
