Chapter 17: Childhood

Melody's Pov

*With my friends

I came back to my friends and oh! just in time! Maddy was about to leave with her butler. 

"Maddy! here's your tea"

Maddy took the tea I gave her, said "Oh thanks Melody, I better go now, bye" and left.

Hhmm? why does it seems that everyone's seems down?

"Aaahh.... guys..? what just hap..peeennd? (happened)"

"I'll tell you while we're going home" Aria answered. Aria actually lives 11 streets near to my house so we always go home together. 

She told me everything that happened. 

*Maddy's Story

Since the very first day of Middle school, Maddy don't have any friend since everyone hates her. 

At the second trimester, A transferee student named Jacob attended the same class as her.

Ever since he met Maddy, Jacob would never stop stalking her till she went home. She's always so annoyed about him. 

Maddy asked him why he's stalking her and he said "I don't understand.... I don't understand why our classmates hate you so much.... To me, you're actually a very beautiful person" 

Those words surprised Maddy. Jacob started joining her in anything she do like eating at the canteen,reading at the library, attending music classes and everything else..... Because of his actions and words, time has passed, He became her friend.

Jacob's very gentle,sweet,kind and reliable.

At Junior high school, Maddy met a guy named Taz. He's the exact opposite of Jacob. Harsh,mean and unreliable. 

A year has passed,The four of them unexpectedly became bestfriends.

Maddy met Taz's sister, Bell, a girl who fell in love with one of Maddy's bestfriend, Jacob. 

Bell confessed to Jacob, but he declined it. He went to Maddy and confessed in front of everyone. Including Bell.

Maddy thought of her friend, Bell's feelings. So she declined his confession and said she liked Taz. She said that in order to help out her friend even though she loved Jacob and not Taz. 

Because of that incident they haven't talk to each other for months. 

One day, Bell was walking home with Jacob, 

Maddy was about to get hit by a truck till......

Jacob saved her and got hit instead. 

......Jacob...... Jacob passed away in that incident.....

Bell started to hate Maddy, knowing that Jacob sacrificed himself in order to save his loved one, Maddy.

Maddy transferred to another school to make her forget all the bad memories.

............. But she can't forget of how the person she loved saved her life even though she hurt his feelings.

*End of  Maddy's story

".............wow..... pretty sad don't think?" I said.

"...y-yeah..." She replied. "I wish I was there to help her"

Madeline's pov (Maddy)

I was having a quiet walk with my butler, Maria, in the hallway of our mansion until she said "Why are you feeling down these past few days?"

"Oh...oh! it's just nothing!" I answered with a fake smile.

She sighed and said "I know a lie when I see one"

I stopped walking and said "Taz is.... back"

She got shocked and turned around "Well.... do you want me to transfer you to another school?"

"no need to" I replied. "This time, I'll not run away..... This time I'll be stronger"

"My, My.... My littler Madeline is all grown up now" She said while she's cleaning her eye glasses using a white cloth.

Well... Maria is like a mother to me since... mom is too obsessed with her work. She don't have time for me. It's a great thing Maria is my butler. She understands me so well :)

I went to my room.

I felt bored..... :(

So took a book a from my bookshelf to read.

whoops! Something slip of from the book I took.

I picked it up and it's actually.....

an old photo of me,Taz,Bell and.........Jacob

*Sigh I can't forget how close the 4 of us were before..... I really missed the feeling of just the 4 us being friends forever........

*drop *drop "Why did this have to happen to us?"
"Why did it have to be like that?"
"Why can't it just be the 4 of us again?"
Those are the words I always questioned myself as my tears drop to the photos, making my vision blurry.... making the photo wet.....

I cried the whole night just y thinking the 4 of us...

Melody's pov

I'm still walking with Aria....
Aria told me Maddy's story.... I can't imagine how much pain she been through.... 

We stopped walking since we're actually in front of Aria's house already. I've really got to this to her before I leave..... She's my bestfriend after all.... ever since kindergarten ;)

"Hey Aria... Brandon's back"

"Ehh really? when? why? how is he?" -Aria

"Weeeellllll.... I just met him a while ago, when I was buying drinks" I said while pointing my fingers against each other.

"Oh I see..."

"Well he changed a lot since we last saw him..." I said. "He became taller and mascular!"

"Really? so how did you recognized him then?" -Ari

"Simple...... If it wasn't for his golden locks, I might thought of him as a stranger" 

"Hahaha really? I would also like to meet him too" -Ari

"Hahaha yeah :) "

We're having a great conversation till "Aria! what are you doing? It's getting late now! It's time for dinner!" Aria's mom called her from the second floor's window at the front.

"Yes mom!" Aria replied her mom.

Aria looked back to me and said "Well... you heard mom right? I'm going in, Bye~" as she waved and walk to their front door.

"Bye" I replied as I watched her went into her house.
