Diary entry 7/1/17

High school is the biggest performance you'll ever perform in. being away from it, from all the drama that comes with friends and assignments, to just get away to the beach it is nice. This is supposed to be my diary, a journal my therapist gave me to help with my mental state but really I have just been using the notebook to write random stories that come to my head. But today I need inspiration so mum and I have decided to split up for the day and meet up at 5 just before dinner, I've decided to go to the beach nice open air, smell of the ocean it's......nice.

I sighed as I complete yet another diary entry, I honestly feel better being away from school, that means staying away from friends who just love seeing me get annoyed honestly it's like a joke to them to see me get hurt not caring how I feel about it all it can get frustrating especially seeing as I'm the kind of person to just bottle up my feelings although I don't understand why I have to go to a therapist they could be spending their time more wisely with someone that needs it more than I do.

"No my story!" I hear a small cry from the beach close to the bench that I'm sitting on I look up from my notebook to see a piece of paper floating towards me and I quickly jump to grab it just as the boy and what seems to be his father running to...

"No my story!" I hear a small cry from the beach close to the bench that I'm sitting on I look up from my notebook to see a piece of paper floating towards me and I quickly jump to grab it just as the boy and what seems to be his father running towards me. "Oh thank god you saved the day that could have ended badly" the father says to me out of breath, "yeah someone could have stolen my story and called it their own" the little boy says protective of his story. The father and I both laugh finding it cute. "well thanks for saving the day" the father says to you putting on a charming smile that I'm sure he uses on all of the ladies, "your welcome, I know the feeling of someone stealing my ideas" I says waving my notebook slightly, indicating that you write in that book. "you're a writer too?" the little boy asks, slightly put off, distracted by the father's smile you reply to the boy "um yeah that is what I put in this book here all of my ideas" "dad I need a notebook like that one" the boy says to his dad tapping him on his pants leg to get his dad's attention "what about one with batman on it?" his dad questions with a slight chuckle. I have to hide my face not really liking batman but don't want to make the kid upset but again this kid is just full of surprises "ew gross dad batman is stupid, iron man is way better" the kid says to his dad seemingly annoyed that his dad suggested the hero "oh well sorry" "yeah you should be" you tell the father and he is surprised at what I just said and to be frank so am I "marvel is way better than DC" you says sassily and the little boys eyes come to life with excitement "you like marvel comic books as well?" the boy questions you "um yeah the avengers, the x-men, fantastic four and guardians of the galaxy, who doesn't love marvel" I say looking to the dad when I said the last part and he gives you a cheeky grin. "so does marvel girl have a name?" the father questions "well depends do you want my author name or my real name?" you question still in a teasing mood "well give me the name that you prefer to be called and your real name" he says "well I prefer Harley but my real name is Kim" I say, shy all of a sudden, "well Harley," he says with a cheeky grin, "my real name is Jason but you can call me Jack." I laugh at the reference and smile at him and he gives me an award winning smile back. "I'm Tom" the little boy comments excitedly "more like marvelous Tom" I say smiling at tom. My little moment is ruined with the boys as my phone starts to blare carry on by Kansas, snapping out of the daze I answer my phone and hear my mum's voice question where I was. "Got to run boys it was lovely meeting you Jack and marvelous Tom" I say with a giggle and Jason and tom join in. I take my bag and after giving the runaway paper back to its owner and walk away with a quick wave and go back to the hotel I was staying with my mum.
