        Riiiiing! Riiiiing! Riiiiing!

My alarm clock goes off as I slowly sit up. "Ugh, school" I say, turning it off and stretching. I hate getting up so early for school. But, thankfully this is my last year, then I can go to college.

I get out of bed and drag myself to the bathroom. Thankfully I have my own, just like my brothers, so I don't have to share.

As I turn on the light, I instantly close my eyes, the light's too bright.

"Oh well, at least it's Friday." I mumble, getting into the shower.

As I wash my hair I think about this weekend. Tonight Ryan, the most popular boy at school, is having a party for his 18th birthday, and giving out invites today.

And since Ryan's not only the most popular guy in school, but he's REALLY cute, it would be a privilege for a girl like me to be invited. His shaggy blond hair barely covers his dark brown eyes. Not to mention his muscles. As the star quarterback on the football team, he's got to have some muscles.

It would be amazing to get invited to his party.

"I hope I get one." I say as I rinse out my hair.

I mean, I guess I'm pretty, but I'm not exactly popular. Even though I have blond hair, and green-blue eyes, I only have like 5 friends. Thanks a lot, stereotypes.

I get out and wrap a towel around my cold body. Another one goes around my wet hair.

As I get ready, I start to worry. Even if I get invited, will my parents let me go? They aren't exactly the party type. Or fun type.

They never let me or Luke, my younger brother, go anywhere, and they're SOOO strict. We've only been to like 5 parties, and most of the time our parents are hiding in the background, watching us.

To make things worse, they especially pick on me. They won't let me go to certain places or hangout with certain people that must look too dangerous, as if they feel like I'm going to run off and do drugs and crap. It sucks being so misunderstood.

I dry my face, and put concealer on. I decide to just put on some mascara and neutral eye shadow.

Once I finish my makeup, I tackle my hair. I decide to wear it down, since it feels like a lazy day. It takes forever, but I'm finally able to tame it enough to be decent.

I go back to my room and look for some clothes. I decide on a teal Pink sweatshirt, some skinny jeans, and my black lace up boots.

"Sara dear, get your butt down here now or you'll be late for school!" My mom chirps at me from downstairs

"Sara dear, get your butt down here now or you'll be late for school!" My mom chirps at me from downstairs.

I check the clock and see its 8:00. I have 15 minutes or I'll be late.

"Coming!" I say as I grab my bag and race down the hall, only to turn back and grab my phone. Then I race back down the stairs and into the kitchen.

My brothers, Kayden and Josh, are already heading out the door.

"Hey guys!, wait for me!" I yell after them as I grab an apple and head to the door.

"Love you dear"  Mom says as I run out.

"Love you too!" I yell as I race to catch up to my bro's.

Kayden, my twin bro, is trying, but failing, to flirt to a girl.

"Yeah, I lift 115 pounds a day" He boasts, showing off his "muscles".

"But Kay, if you lift so much, why do I always beat you at wrestling?" I interfere, jumping between him and the girl.

"Uh..... no you don't..." He says, looking embarrassed.

The girl he's talking to laughs. I turn to look at her and say hi, and almost gawk at her appearance.

She has straight, caramel brown shoulder length hair, and gorgeous blue eyes. She's got a hint of freckles, and perfectly straight teeth. I gotta admit, the girls gorgeous.

"Hi, I'm Sara" I say, holding out my hand.

"Mackenzie, but you can just call me Kenzie" she says, shaking it.

"Are you new here?" Kayden asks, butting in.

"Uh, yeah, I moved here over the weekend" Kenzie says, and then I butt in. "Where ya from?".

"Oh, I moved from Colorado, but I'm originally from Australia". She says, and only then do I notice her slight accent.

"What grade are you in?", Kayden once again butts in.

"Senior, I-" "Oh cool! Maybe we have the same classes" Kayden rudely interrupts her.

"Kayden, don't interrupt her, it's rude!" I scold him, making Kenzie laugh again.

"Continue" I say, glaring at Kay. "Well, I was saying that I still need my schedule. The only class I know I'm in is AP math".

"Oh, cool! That's the same with me. Do you know whe-""Hurry up you slugs!" My younger bro, Luke, yells at us, interrupting me. Of course, being 16, this kid has got some sass.

"Dude! Hold up, I'm coming!" Kayden yells, racing after him.

"Now who's the slug!" He yells as he easily passes Luke.

Sadly, me and Kayden are in the same grade, because ya know, the twin life.  But thankfully, we're almost done with the school year.

He always tries to annoy the crap out of me. It sucks. I mean, we're not even in any of the same classes, yet he still finds a way to be annoying.

"So" I say. "Do you have any siblings?"

"I have a 12 year old brother and a 9 year old sister." Kenzie says, sighing as she looks at the sky.

"Are you OK?" I ask, feeling concerned.

"Yeah, it's just that I miss my home in Colorado, and my family in Australia." Kenzie replies, looking like she's about to cry.

"And the only people I know here are you and your brothers, I feel left out." She continues.

"Aw Kenzie, it's OK" I say, hugging her. "You can meet my other friends, they'd be so happy to meet you."

"Really? Thank you so much! Kenzie says, and we keep walking.

We soon reach school, and I say bye to Luke as he runs into the building and through the halls.

"Bye" Kayden says as he runs the opposite way me and Kenzie are going.

"So," she starts. "Tell me about yourself".
