You were an Unbreakable Heart.

They tried to take your pride.

They filled you up with lies.

Despite the lies they’ve made,

I would’ve been there to turn your tears

Into roses.

Remember when,

No matter what,

I’d be by your side,

Wherever you’ve fallen.

I used to tell you,

Just take a breath.

Just give me a reason to let you

Turn and run.

Don’t speak,

Don’t speak.

You’re just wasting time.

It may not be your day,

Week,

Month.

But I promised you that this upcoming year,

Will be your damn year.

Don’t worry.

It’s a shame that society is so fucked up.

But let me tell you.

Just open your eyes.

Just open your eyes.

And see that life is beautiful.

And it’s not too late,

It’s never too late.

Even if I say, it’ll be alright.

Still I hear you say you want to end your life.

I’ve forgotten what you looked like,

Except your eyes and the scars on your wrist

That told a tale about your struggles.

I don’t hate you because of those.

I will never hate you.

I just wanted to save you.

Now this one is for you and for me.

You used to tell me that you couldn’t believe,

That when you breathed,

There was something good inside of you.

Of course there was.

You told me you never had a real home,

So you didn’t know what to do.

You said that this was it and you said goodbye.

You said that if I could, I’ll go wherever you will go.

I heard the clock count down.

And I wanted to wind that minute hand back.

So much to do and so much that I needed to say,

But it was already one day too late.

I want to see you again.

But dearest agony won’t let me.

You are a part of the angels, singing their anthem.
