Once upon a time
I looked at the stars
And wished that the words you said
Wouldn't leave permanent scars
Once upon a time
I wished you would never leave
I thought that there was hope
For a future for you and me
Once upon a time
You said you loved me
And now I sit here wondering
How I was so blind, how I just couldn't see
That you only ever lied to me
Once upon a time
I had hope and I believed
And now I realise that there's no longer an us.
It's turned to you and me
