Your POV
As Gene gently woke up, I rubbed my eyes and looked at him. He gave me a light smiled and look forward.

Gene- this is what I wanted to show you

I looked to his direction, my eyes widen to the sight I'm seeing, the sun was rising. Like sure I have seen them but not this close, I felt arms wrapped around my waist, and I neck dug in my neck, and the soft breeze hit us, but the warmth of the sun keep me warm, I felt our legs tangle, I started blushing and felt my hands go on his. I felt his head being lifted up and looked into my eyes.

He started leaning in, and turning my head closed to his but then heard a splat. I looked Gene's shoulder to find bird poop, I lightly giggled as he was full of rage.

Gene- are you serious, it was getting good though
You- G-Gene
Gene- what is it kitten?
You- if I t-told you s-something, you won't g-get mad, r-right?
Gene- why is something wrong?
You- k-kind of
Gene- then tell me then
You- I'm l-leaving
Gene- what?
You- it b-because, m-my dad d-died
Gene- oh, but you will come back once to work there again right?
You- I'm n-not sure
Gene- oh, * faked smiled * okay then, you need to saved your farm

I cupped my hands on his face and leaned my face close to his.

You- p-please understand t-this Gene

Then I felt his hands cup my cheeks, the sun getting higher and higher.

Gene- I will always agree to your answer
You- G-Gene
Gene- we might as well go home now
You- G-Gene, I'm still able to go to prom
Gene- I'm not going
You- w-why? I want t-to g-go with y-you
Gene- Y/N let's go

The next week,

It was Monday again a few days after the date, I went to get ready  and walked to school, there was only a few people there, I saw nurse Zoe come up to me.

Zoey- good morning Y/N
You- m-morning
Zoey- I have heard about Gene
You- a-about w-what?
Zoey- the date. You going
You- h-how do you k-know t-that
Zoey- he was here really early in the morning, and I have magicks so yeah
You- I w-want to s-say sorry to h-him
Zoey- well you might as well do the same thing Gene did
You- a-and I w-want to

She lead me to the principles office, and went to the mic, I took a deep breath and Zoey spoke first.

Gene's POV
As I was leaning against the wall, I heard the mic turning on and Zoey spoke through the mic.

Zoey- our radio stopped working so I hired someone to do it, enjoy the music

We had a radio, and I bet the person who is singing is bad.
But when a voice came on, I was wrong.

My heart soften by the song, I heard the mic turn off, and people was whispering amounts themselves and saw Aphamu coming in my way.

Aphmau- hey Gene
Gene- what do you want
Aphmau- I just want to say Y/N has a nice voice
Gene- Y/N!?
Aphmau- yeah can't you tell
Gene- the only time I heard was when she whispered to the lyrics closer
Aphmau- but her voice gives it away
Gene- well it did kind sound familiar
Aphmau- that's because that is Y/N

As we were talking Y/N walked out of the school and walked towards me and Aphmau.

You- h-hey w-what are you talking a-about
Aphmau- on how good you
Gene- we know that was you then
You- w-was it? W-well I d-didn't t-think it was g-good
Gene- FINE THEN IT WASNT

she jumped, and stepped back, my eyes soften on what I did, I reached my hand out her to but she flinched and speed walk away.

Aphmau- WHAT WAS THAT FOR GENE?!
Gene- I'm sorry it's just mad, on what happened
Aphmau- what happened
Gene- she's leaving
Aphmau- where?
Gene- to the farm, her dad died
Aphmau- is that's what your and at
Gene- obviously
Aphmau- well I'm not a love expert but I know Y/N aunt is I guess, of you really love her you would respect on what she is choosing, and if she didn't you then she would have told you earlier in the first place, but I know Y/N loves you, I know she can't find the courage to tell you, cause I guess. She doesn't want you to look and feel sad....

Sad.....

Two updates in a day, I might do a third update if I can, anyway sorry if this wasn't a Gene x Reader chapter, but it's gets good in the end. Oh and just to tell you the book is almost finished! Sorry to say this.
