The dreadful 6 hours had passed and now it was time to head home, unfortunately for me I have to wait an hour for the creepy bus which gives me another hour journey home. Fortunately there was something that I enjoyed about the wait, Violet. She'd moved to our school sometime last year, and was a nobody for quite a while until for no apparent reason she gained lots of popularity, and won't explain why. I'm guessing she's the same age as me, and I'm guessing her birthday is around august... and no I swear I'm not a stalker, it's just a strong interest in her. Anyway so it's time for me to go home, I'm waiting in the park next to the bus stop casually sitting on the swings listening to the random music I have stored on my phone, and out the corner of my eye I see her. We've made eye contact many times before and I've nearly got up the courage to go speak to her, but I'm a nobody, and with her level of popularity why would she want to speak with a lowlife like me.
That is until today.
She got to the park, then seemed to vanish, and I had no clue where she went. I was looking around trying to find her before I got pulled back suddenly and fell backwards off the swing. I tried to sit up, but as I rose a black boot pushed down on my chest keeping me down. I went to speak, to ask what was happening, but the person saw my mouth open and kicked me as hard as they could in the temple. Dazed and with near to no hearing, I could hear whispering - maybe it was shouting - then a blur of a blur of a person, fly past and tackle my attacker, I kept blinking and rubbing my head and eyes, then regained my sight. It was Violet. She'd single Handedly tackled one of my attackers and was currently dealing with the other two. She'd taken the hockey stick from the boy on the floor and had taken the other boys down using it.
Then she walked over to me and held out her hand,
"You okay Charlie?"I went a faint shade of red, accepted her hand, and stood up.
"I'm okay thanks to you, well my head still kills but apart from that I'm good. Wait how'd you know my name?"She giggled and said, "simple really, I've been sent to protect you!"
I went to question what she meant when the boys bodies on the floor seemed to turn to black sludge and sink away into the earth.
"What the hell is going on?!" I asked as calmly as I could,"I'll explain tomorrow, but first - your bus is here"
I turned to look at the bus pulling towards the bus stop, then turned back to an empty park. Violet had vanished.
