I turned the shower off. I'd been standing there with the scolding raindrops pouring onto my delicate skin, attempting to clear my head. he'd been driving me insane all week and I was contemplating our relationship.

I stepped through the steamy doors that had been separating me from the pale tile walls of our bathroom. wrapping my towel around myself, pulled a stray hair out of my face and turned the handle of the bathroom door to exit.

I edged out of the foggy room and into the cool hallway. It's brisk air sending shivers running down my spine, I hugged my towel trying to remove the goosebumps forming in my arm. I took an audible sigh and padded in the direction of my room. The hall was dark and quiet, almost too quiet, where was he? I heard motion from behind me. I whipped my head around, causing the walls around me to be splattered  with little beads of water from my  damp hair.

Facing the other way I saw nothing but darkness and only heard light shuffling -which I assumed was my cat- I stumbled through the black, attempting to find the source of the sound. I came to one of the doors near the end of the apartment. A faint light was seeping through the crack at the bottom of the door. I placed a hand on the wood panelling, ready to open the door. Almost immediately music started up, I stepped back at the sudden change in atmosphere.

The choice in music was no surprise to me, so I relaxed slightly knowing I had him as company. I made the decision to get dry and sleep on my emotions towards him. I turned again, this time less dramatically. To my great disbelief he was behind me, arm outstretched to tap my exposed shoulder. I doubled back slightly in shock.

"w-who turned on the music? It just started up..." I stammered and raised an eyebrow, which he couldn't see because if the lighting.

"I did." He responded confidently, I could almost feel him shrugging, as though that were the most obvious thing in the world. I looked blankly at where I assumed he was standing.

"Fair enough, but how did you get out here without me seeing you, or even opening the door? There was silence which meant he shrugged again, I groaned.

"That wasn't really the answer I was hoping for." I mumbled in a dull tone and turned back towards the door, taking a step in its direction to get my own answers. He shifted, as though he planned to turn me around and explain  why the sounds from behind the door  had commenced even while though claimed he was outside with myself.
