The story was then set in a small looking farm on the country side of the kingdom of Floran. It was far and laid nestled in the patch of fields near a woodsy area. It was small and poor, but the family that lived there was able to get by enough and survive through the winter. An old farmer, his wife and his young daughter (Name) lived and worked.
One day, a young man by the name of Gabriel with golden eyes and light golden brown hair came by the farm to work. As soon he saw his new employer's daughter, he had fallen in love. She was so perfect in so many ways. Her grace, her beauty and sweet nature that seemed heavenly in his eyes. He'd had only wished she had felt it too. As soon as he was put to work, she slaved him all day and told him what to do. She never even called him by his first name, but he didn't care. He would go to the ends of the earth for her, to the edge of the universe even.
He would watch (Name) lovingly as she would come back from her daily ride. He could not help but stare at her glossy (H/C) hair would blow in the breeze and her (E/C) eyes shined in the morning sun's rays, and her smile that could go on for days. If this love was true, then it would find her just as it found Gabriel.
"Farm boy, polish my horse's saddle! I to see my face shining in it by morning!" She order him with a demanding but perky tone. He stared at her stone nearly stoned face, trying hard not to smile at her.
"As you wish, my lady." He said almost sweetly, and she turned her back on him. As you wish was all he ever said to her. He never had the courage to say that he loved her with every fiber of his being. It took all of his will power to not kiss her right then and there, but he needed to take his time. True love doesn't just happen in a short amount of a few weeks, he wasn't that lucky. It grows and then it flourishes into something so beautiful and strong, for a moment, heaven and earth become one. Yes, he had to take his time.
The next few weeks went by and (Name) then goes to the young man again and brings him two empty pales.
"Farm boy, I need you to fill these with water." She ordered him once more as she always did. He then looked at her stoned face again and stared deep into her eyes with his intense golden eyes. She froze for a moment and felt maybe she had been rather rude to him. "Please?" She asked nicely that time and gave him the soft (e/c) puppy dog eyes that he adored so much. He smiled and took the pales from her.
"As you wish." Gabriel replied and she walked away, but then she looked back at him this time. The girl could see that he was looking right back at her. Both of them made very strong eye contact for that moment, which made (Name) realized something that she had never had thought before. That whenever Gabriel said 'as you wish', he truly meant to say 'I love you'.
She froze and turned to back her house, and went into her room, walking passed her mother who was in the kitchen making dinner. She looked the door, and laid on her bed crying. Not knowing on how to take these feelings that Gabriel had for her. She should have guessed it by the way he looked at her all the time. The soft eyes, the warm friendly smile and even with the way he spoke those three words that said it all. And yet she treated him like he was a slave. She felt horrible, worse than that. He had been trying to tell her that he loved for a long time, and she just shrugged him off. She had only wished she could have known sooner. The reason why she had been so cold and numb towards him, was because she loved him too. She was too shy and too timid to admit it to him. When she first saw him, she was hypnotized by his warm nature and burning golden eyes that made the stars look dull in comparison. She would often feel her heart beat fast and her face would blush a very dark rose color. There was no denying it, that girl was in love with Gabriel.
She was worried that her father would not approve that his daughter would love a simple farm boy. He wanted her to marry for fortune and wealth to help the farm. (Name) was his only child, and her marriage to a wealthy gentleman was needed in his eyes. There was no way she could be with Gabriel, at least not according to her father. Her mother on the other hand, just wanted her daughter's happiness, and nothing less than that. Even if it mean that she would live a poor farmer's life.
(Name) then decided that she would find a way to tell Gabriel that she loved him. She just had to keep it from her father for the time being.
The next day she was in the kitchen, making bread for breakfast when she saw Gabriel passed by her. He didn't even look at her that time, and (Name) may have felt that she drove him away. This was her chance to make her feelings known to him. However, she had to be subtle, because her father maybe watching her.
"Farm boy!" She called to him nervously, but he turns to you with his golden eyes. She swallowed and looked to her side a looked at a water pitcher. And had an idea on how to talk to him. It was a silly one, but if it got her to talk to him, then it would work well enough. "Fetch me that pitcher?" She asked him sweetly, while trying not to sound too coquettish. He walked up to her and extended his hand to get the ceramic piece above her head. He then hands it to her and smiled at her, with another smile appearing on her lips.
"As you wish." He said softly as the smile on her face grew bigger, and blushed as he looked deep into her eyes. It felt like for that brief moment, the world had stopped turning and the Heavens were forced to stop in motion. Both their hearts were now beating as one, the two were synchronized in harmony. If there was such a thing as true love, this would be living proof of it. Gabriel knew right then and there, that she indeed loved him back. If it weren't for her father sitting close by, then they would have shared a kiss at that moment.
"So, shall I see you around, then?" She asked him, giving a very thoughtful expression.
"Yes, I shall think so." He said as got close to reach for a cloth to wipe his hands from the long day's work. He got close enough to your head and had his lips close to your ear and muttered something quietly to you. "Meet me at the sables at midnight, when your parents are asleep." He spoke quickly. His whisper was so low and quite that only (Name) was able to hear. His voice was so sweet and soft it just made her knees almost give in. with that, he walked away without giving her a second glance until he was out of the kitchen, then he looked back at her again with a warm smile that made her heart melt like ice in the summer sun. For (Name), midnight just seemed like an eternity away.
