It was five minutes to midnight and (Name) had been able to sneak out to see Gabriel in the stables. She arrived there fifteen minutes early to see if he was already waiting for her. He had not come yet, and she was nervous if he may have forgotten and she had felt like a fool for meeting him. She then went up to her horse, Westley, a dark brown stallion with a beautiful shiny coat and a black mane. (Name) stroked his face and he is at ease with the feel of her touch. But no matter how much she tried to not think about it, it always kept coming back to her mind. What if he did and he just simply decided against it, and she had been stood up? Oh, how she had wished she had not agreed to this. She started to feel like a complete idiot for doing this. She was about to leave and go back to bed, when she turn and was met with a pair of golden eyes that stared deeply into hers.
"You came. I was worried you weren't going to show." He said gently, with a look of adoration on his face.
"I was hesitant for a while, Gabriel. Not because I didn't want to meet you, but because I was scared my parents might have caught me before I could reach you." She stated nervously and he chuckled. He walked toward you and it started to make you blush from his presence.
"Still, I am grateful that you did." He spoke as he stroked his hand to your cheek. You made shake in excitement and just melting into his touch. You looked down to keep him from seeing your blushing face. "Don't hide your sweet face from me, my love. It's so selfish and cruel to hide something so radiant and lovely from the world." Gabriel took (Name) face into his hands gently and rubbed her chin with his rough hand. (Name) could tell that he worked hard on her family's farm by the way his hands felt against her skin. Gabriel's rugged hands were the resolve of that. They were hard and rough, she didn't care. She welcomed them to touch her skin.
He then let's go of her face and took her hand into his and lead her to one of the horse's cots, where his horse was: a beautiful mare with a light golden coat and main, with light brown spots that covered her face, neck and back. He named her Buttercup, which (Name) though was rather adorable. She was pretty large stead, she seemed big enough to take more than two people. Gabriel than calls to her gently and she immediately comes to him. She then nuzzles his head as a very affectionate sign of greeting. (Name) smiled with much happiness as he kissed her face. He then turned his attention to you once more while chuckling.
"She is very beautiful, Gabriel." she said smiling at the lovely stead that was right in front of Her.
"I've had her since she was a filly, and she has been my best friend ever since. She had always been loyal to me and stuck with me through the hard times." He said while starching at that sweet spot that Buttercup seemed to go crazy for. She whined happily as Gabriel kept starching her there in her neck. "You want to pet her?" He asked and held out his hand to her. (Name) nodded and walked up to him. He took her hand and placed it on the soft coat of his beautiful horse. With his hand still touching yours, you begin to stroke Buttercup's well-kept mane and the horse snots quietly, feeling relaxed by (Name)'s touch. She took a good look at the horse and saw that she was well groomed and cleaned. Like she had been taken care of every day by her master. This man really knew how to treat and take care of animals well, and she loved him even more for that. Gabriel had not removed his hand from on top of hers. It seemed like he refused to remove it, and she didn't want him to.
"She's gorgeous." She stated gazing at the horse with such admiration, but Gabriel did not hear what his beloved said. He was far too busy looking at more beautiful sight. (Name).
"Yes, I suppose so." He muttered quietly, giving her a delicate smile on his lips. He then, reluctantly let's go of her hand and went over to wear he had kept his horse's saddle, and blanket. He placed them both on Buttercup and tightened the saddle on her comfortably. You looked at him, puzzled to what he was doing.
