Chapter 2-He's Back?!





Aria's POV



How could he be outside my window? It was my best friend, Trey. When I was younger Trey was my best friend. He would probably still be my friend, but he had died in a fire. If he died when I was young, how could he be outside my window right now? What has my life become?





I put on my shoes and walk outside. There's no one out here. I must have been a imagining it. That's a relief. I turn around to walk back inside when I'm tackled from behind.




I look up and there he is, my best friend and he just freaking tackled me! To top it all off, he's supposed to be dead.





He smiles and laughs. I'm so confused right now.



"What?" I ask probably sounding pissed.



"I just... You..." He laughs again.





"What is so amusing about tackling someone?" I ask. I really don't see how any of this could be funny in the in the least.





"You should have seen your face, it was priceless!" Whatever. I've never understood boys and I don't think I ever will.





"What are you doing here?" I ask as confused as someone could be. He should be dead!





"Last time I checked, we were best friends." He says sounding as confused as me.





"Yeah, we were, but last time I checked, you were dead!" I can't believe he's sitting here acting as if he never freaking died! I mean how could he forget. Did he just open his eyes, push the coffin open, come out of the dirt and out of everything he could be worried about.. it was me?





This is just a dream, Aria. You're probably gonna wake up right when all the other freaking zombies come out of the shadows and eat your brains.




"Did you hear what I said?" He asks,




"I'm sorry, what did you say to me?" His face turns red. Literally. Like as red as a ripe tomato!





"Uhhhh, nothing." He says quickly.




"You can tell me anything. Like you said, last time I checked, we were best friends!" I say knowing that will get him to spit it out.




"I never really died, Aria. Someone pulled me from the fire and..." He trails off looking really nervous.




"I saw your body! You were definitely dead!" I yell at him.





"Aria, it was a man and he pulled me from the fire and...and he bit me." Did he seriously just say a man bit him? Was the man like, 'oh look I'll risk my life saving a boy I don't know so I can bite him!' Trey then suddenly laughs out loud like he heard my freaking thoughts.





"I can." He says.




"What do you mean you can? You can what?" I ask.





"I can read your thoughts. Aria, he bit me because he was a vampire. I'm a vampire, Aria." How could this be possible? This is just not my freaking day! First, I get slapped and grounded. Then I get thrown on the ground. And now my best dead friend is a vampire? I'm so confused. What I am I supposed to say to him now?





Should I say, 'Congratulations Trey!' I don't know if that's even a good thing! This is way too crazy to be real! I look at my watch and see it's 7:47! I have to get ready for the party! I can't just leave Trey all alone though!





"Trey, do want to come to a party with me?"
